Belkin TuneBase FMX Handsfree FM Transmitter For iPhone 3G / 3GS / 4 / iPod

I have 2 cars (bmw 320d sport 03 and Vauxhall Astra club 2000)
BOTH HAVE STOCK RADIOS INSTALLED

Lets start with the BMW.
The turnbase works perfect in this car, used 107.9 and the quality was almost spot on. There is no noticable hiss from the speakers and music seems to keep its quality.
The Phone works fine with voice control and all sounds come out of the speakers "very nice",
I was also pleasently suprised that the TOMTOM directections also come out of the car speakers, it interupts the music and then resumes. nice touch.
As to height and fitting into the car it fits snuggly and doesnt move, maybe a little dangerous if I where to use the satnav as its not really at eye height.
Overall score for my BMW 4.5 stars

Now the Astra.
This item is absolutley terrible in this car.
Firstly it wont even stay upright and keeps falling over,
Secondly Ive tried many channels and get ALLOT of hissing.
Thirdly I cannot use the hands free as I get the "duda duda duda duda" (you know what I mean) sound coming out of the speakers whilst on a call.
I give this a 1 star for this car.

OVERALL this is a good product and works well with the correct combination of car, Id recomend that you try to test one in your car before buying.

I purchased this product as I spend a lot of time in the car and have recently upgraded to an iphone 3GS. Works straight out of the box with no need to find an adaptor to make it fit in to the cradle like a lot of similar devices I've seen. You fit your iphone whilst it's still in its case to the dock and off you go, First time around it was a tad wobbly in the cigar lighter socket however it comes with a fitting ring that you can use to secure it. Main reason I purchased this was for the hands-free which works like a charm. Has a decent microphone on the front which means the person on the other end of the phone can hear you clearly enough and because you tune it to the car stereo the call comes through the car speakers! There is also a button on the front which is used to answer calls and control music playback meaning you don't have to swipe the screen on your iphone to either answer a call or play/pause/skip your music. All in all great product and as always brilliant service from Play! 5 stars

I ordered this only after reading a couple of reviews and stupidly once I had placed the order and it was dispatched, read a few more and was a bit worried about how much of a slating this kit was getting. I just received it today and I have to say how surprised I was that it's actually pretty good. Maybe it has compatibility issues with different stereos / aerials but it does exactly what I need it to do. The sound quality is pretty much perfect, a bit of hissing here and there but you can't expect perfection from an FM transmitter. The only downside that I can see so far is that I can't listen to the radio whilst using the hands free but then again why would I need to with 16GBs worth of music? It also seems to sit quite firmly in the 12V charger. In all, very happy with it and exceeded my expectations especially after reading all the bad reviews!

Really Good product, I had been looking at for a few months, Official Apple store - 70 pound, Argos 50 pound, 30 pound on Play, so great value for money. Instaled straight into a 57 plate focus with no problems. Found a spare station and music was playing in seconds. Really good crisp sound. Hands free phone is a little quiet, but when some people spend hundreads of pounds on a hands free kit, what can you expect from this.

Overall very impressed. Car charger and music streaming is what i wanted, so hands free calling is a bonus.

I was a bit apprehensive about buying this item when I had read the previous reviews. However, from reserching the item i have gone ahead and brought it. From that research this is a fantastic price and is nearly 20pounds cheaper than others.

When it came i put it straight into my 06 Vauxhall Astra and it fit perfectly. It took a few minutes to find out how it worked but once I had this thing worked a treat and is a fantastic bit of tech to have in your vehicle.

The one draw back is that when I have made or received a call the person has said that I have sounded far away, but I can overlook that one floor.

Overall, Im glad Ive brought it and now i can listen to the songs on my Iphone and also catch up with the latest pod casts as well as make calls whilst driving.
