The Memory Stick Micro (M2) is designed to meet the growing storage needs of highly compact, multifunctional mobile phones. Exchange data with standard-size Memory Stick PRO compatible products by inserting the M2 into an adapter (not supplied). M2 is approximately one-quarter the size of Memory Stick PRO Duo media, and only about 1.2 mm thick. Because it's dual-voltage it can be used with both mobile phones (1.8 volts) and Memory Stick PRO compatible products operating at 3.3 volts.

Please note that some older handsets will require a software upgrade to improve card speeds.

 Great product, works in PSP!!!

I never write reviews but wanted to clarify some info for people. I can confirm this M2 8GB card works in a PSP using the Pro duo adapter supplied! I am using custom firmware M-33 3.90 Ver 2. There is also no lag when playing games and the PSP recognizes the card straight out of the box (magic gate supported too)

However when transferring data from PC to M2 (with the card in the PSP) this takes ages! maybe if you have a USB M2/pro duo reader this will improve transfer speeds? around 20 mins to transfer 7gb
.In any event even with this slow transfer rate it beats having to carry around multiple sticks.

I wanted to let people know this card does work in a PSP (with firmware greater than 2.80) as there are come conflicting reports when I researched if it would work or not. This is much cheaper than buying a 8gb pro duo (currently £50 on play).

4/5 stars only due to the fact of the slow PC - PSP transfer speed, great other than that! Great service from play.com as usual

 excellent little fellow!

I bought this for my phone - Sony Ericsson K550i - and it works a treat! it still amazes me how something smaller than my thumb nail can hold so much info! I have well over 500 songs and numerous vidoes and pictures and it still runs smoothly.
This great buy comes with an adapter, which has proven very useful when transferring all my songs and stuff from my previous 4gb m2 card. it runs smoothly and without hiccups.

I'd deffo recommend this card, especially at such a fantastic price. To compare, i bought my 4gb m2 card about a year ago for £34.99 and now double the size - this 8gb is £24.99!
I couldnt ask for better!!
And as usual, great delivery service. thanks play.com!

Got this for my new psp that i ordered after getting it robbed with my 4gb with it..hence i thought, what the heck, might as wel get one with a larger capacity. 8gb, I know would last me for a long time cos it takes me a while to complete games fully, but this would sure hold many games that i havent been able to put before, such as the full game of Tekken Dark Resurrection.
Anyways, enough of my talk, this works out cheaper if u buy this as an M2 with the Memory stick pro duo adapter which can be recognised instantly by the psp - although you may need to get it formatted (on the psp) first.
Would surely get 16gb if it went down to £20-ish, but 8gb is enough for me for now.
