I agree with the first review. This phone looks great - is sleeker than the Satio but still has some major flaws.

There are no 'smileys' in the texts, there is no 'recently text numbers lists' (as you get with other Sonys), the phone is long-widned and complicated to use. You have to spell almost every single letter even though you would have thought you could change an A to a B by pressing the right key but no! You have to 'spell' B' as well as other letters.

I recently downloaded a new theme for my phone. The phone put it into a folder that is not linked to your Profiles so I have paid for the theme but can't use it.

The HD screen is amazing for videos but how often do you watch those? Even if you do watch them it KILLS your battery in the matter of a day. The battery life is terrible.

Good screen but attached to really poor phone with second-rate music player (especially in speaker mode)

 Excellent in my opinion!!

The internet is fast, the phone looks good, it has an excellent quality camera, i found it easy to use as soon as i got it. I wouldn't pay over 300 pound for it. But on a contract, its good.

 Still up for debate...

I got the phone on upgrade as i am a big fan of sony ericsson and the phone is very stylish and quite sexy. The lure of the HD and the 8 mp camera attracted me to it and the weight of the phone was the cherry on top.

BUT This is one of the most non user friendly phones ever. After looking for the best part of an hour to change ym ringtone, i had to phone sony ericsson and ask them how to do it! And it was still a complicated little setup to say the least.

I then tried to send a txt off my phone, and again i had to them again to ask how to change a letter when its on predictive txt. Everytime i pressed the 9 button to put a X at the end of my txt it came up with W, which it usually does so you pre4ss the * key, but it wouldnt change from a W and kept asking me to spell the letter!!

I phoned sony and the girl said i should just spell all the letters! can you imagine!! it seems to have rectified itself now though. There are also NO emoticons on this phone, so if you want to express yourself with a smiley face, you cant, you have to use : and ) to do so :) which i find quite annoying.

the camera doesnt seem as clear at first but after messing with the settings you change it from like 6mp to 8 mp.

The battery life is shocking! but i guess thats because the picture is crystale clear on the menus and very vibrant, and i will yield and say HD, for the menus.

Another thing is on previous sony ericsson phones, it always saved a list of the last people you txt so you could just select them. On this one you have to manually go into the phone book each time and select them, rather than just a quick access list. You can create groups and press the groups icon when sending a txt which makes it easier, but why should we have to do that?
But it is an easy system to send a txt to multiple people.

If you want to send a video to someone, like a clip, make sure that the quality is not to high a resolution as it will not let you send it because its too big.

When you lock your phone, you can still access the camera by holding down the camera button, which i found quite annoying as when i had my phone in my pocket and i took it out, it had taken pictures of the inside of my pocket.

After playing about with my phone, i have found a way to make this phone user friendly to me, from my front screen i can access the facebook app, bnlue tooth, media, inbox, and create a message, but it takes a while to figure out how to do that, and i only stumbled across it by mistake. lol.

When you are accessing the internet and your rpess a link, it sometimes zooms in without pressing the zoom button, and i still havnt figured out why it does it or HOW i did it!!

the BBC iPlayer app is a good gimmick, but when i streamed a show, it was not very clear.

it is a beautiful phone though, the facebook app is good, once you get over the fact you cant use predictive txt when your updating your status, and its very lightweight.

it would have gotten 5 stars if it wasnt for the fact of me having to nearly tear my hair out trying to change a ringtone or message tone, and the fact that it doesnt have emoticons.

In the box you get your charger, which is a plug and a usb cable so it can connect to the computer as well as the plug socket, and also there is a usb dongle, and a screen protector, but that was in my box, so im not sure about this one.

you can connect to the net via WiFi

I have not tried to upload a video straight to YouTube yet, so im not sure what the deal is with it, if its easy or what the quality will be like.

If your into stylish sexy phones, then this is for you, if you want something thats easy to use straight away, then i wouldnt go for this.

:)

 Happy with phone

Im new to sony ericssons, ive always had samsung phones before, and i was a bit nervous about this being a total touch screen phone, but im very happy with this phone. ive found it very easy to set up and organise, i like the applications. the sound isnt very loud but i have my ipod for music, that wasnt what attracted me to the phone. it was the camera, the functions, and the reputation that sony ericsson phones have. only problem i have is getting it to configure with the sony ericsson software on my laptop, but i have been in touch with sony ericsson about this, and im awaiting their reply.

I got this phone on contract in August, and since then I have absolutely hated this phone. I have had Sony Ericsson for a while, (I previously had a Sony Ericsson C902) and have loved them, hence the reason for me choosing this phone. But I have found this phone to be terrible. The internet is extremely slow, to the point that I don't use it any more. The layout of the phone looks cheap and tacky, and the phone itself feels so cheap and plastic. It is such a rip off for the price they are selling it at, and I am personally very disappointed with Sony Ericsson. The only redeeming feature is the 8.1 megapixel camera, which is pretty good at taking photos outdoors. Although bring it inside and the images seem to look like they were taken on a VGA camera. I suggest not to buy this phone, I am even thinking of buying a Blackberry and putting my contracted sim in the Blackberry. Which is disappointing considering I had to pay for the phone in the first place. Extreme disappointment.
