5 Great phone - watch this spaceMuffyman | 27/03/2012 | See all Muffyman's reviews (1)I have a BlackBerry and an iPad and used to have an Android, so I know what other devices are like to use. The Windows Phone 7.5 knocks spots off all the others. After receiving mine with 7.0 I plugged into Zune and let it update flawlessly to 7.5 (unlike my iPad, which bricked on updating to iOS 5.1 and took hours to get back). I'm not keen on Zune, but I hate iTunes more. But once you get into the phone it flows beautifully and is easier to use than the iPad and way more consistent than Android, it's not worth comparing to the BB which will be dead soon unless they up their game. Why 'watch this space'? - well Metro is the user interface which will be the core of Windows 8 released later this year and again, once you get used to the active tiles rather than more common icons (Apple, Android, BB) it is a joy to use. The tiles can show you information from the apps without having to open the app, or size smaller if needed. Perfect voice recognition out of the box - The first text message I sent was a dictated 30 word message and was word-perfect. Can also read them back to you, so you can text in the car without touching the phone. All the expected stuff works flawlessly (GPS, calls -unlike iPhone which are rubbish for calls-,FaceBook, email etc). You can create and edit all Office docs with the mobile office, unlike ANY other non-Windows phone. And for less than half the price of any smartphone that begins to compare - what are you waiting for?
