LG Optimus 2X P990 / Sim Free / Unlocked Mobile Phone

Excellent !

As most bargains go you need to do a bit of work. This phone needs updating out of the box using LG's own software. Get the LG phone updater which patches the phone's firmware to V10. This get's rid of any issues you may have read about.

The phone itself is super fast and seamless in it's general operation. Fantastic camera and HD video and the HDMI out function is great for playing games on your LCD TV.
On the downside, no notification lights although I downloaded an app which flashes the front LED buttons when you get mail. Battery life is fair but improves when using Task killer, A full day is possible on one charge.

Still gets 5 stars though as it's an absolute bargain!

Upgraded to this from the Desire HD.
Upsides:
Phone is better than I expected, good size and nice shape.
Some reviewers on other websites say this phone isn't very pretty to look at but I can safely say it's better than what they say.
1080p recording with playback is fantactic.
Tegra Zone games look and play fantastic! Samurai II: Vengeance is a must get on the android market!
I know everyone says "LG is crap, blah blah blah" but I don't see this as your typical LG phone, it really is head and shoulders above all other LG's before it.
Camera quality is great, no issues at all.
Internal SD means you can have MANY applications without moving to SD
Downsides:
Battery life like all android phones isn't the best, does last more than a day though on moderate use.
No 2.3 update expected until June/July (rumored) so it's not playing to it's full capacity.
UI can be a bit jerky sometimes but not very noticable.
LG's own facebook and twitter isn't worth the space on the internal SD.
