The case is shorter than the phone to show the red light when u have recieved an email or instant message!
This is the official Blackberry case which comes with the 9700. The case is shorter than the 9700 but purposely, it makes it easy to remove your Blackberry, and lets you see the led for when you've received a message, but also leaves the speaker free from obstruction. The nifty feature is the sensor, when you put the phone away, the screen automatically switches off, saving battery power. As soon as you remove it, the screen switches back on.
Majority of official cases leave a gap at the top of the blackberry, not what i would of done...but,,,, if you dont know what you are buying the i suggest you dont buy it.
The case it self is very well made however for some reason when you put the 8520 in the case about 12mm of the blackberry is still exposed at the top, I personally would prefer one that completely cover the blackberry top to bottom
I have always used play.com and i must say, i have never been disappointed until now.
The product description says
"The genuine blackberry pocket is a form-fitted case designed to protect your blackberry curve 8520 smartphone and its camera lens from bumps and scratches."
However, my blackberry 8520 is only covered up to the company name at the front. Whole of led, and my camera lens is unprotected. It does not look fitted so just looks like i bought a case for another phone.
