PRO TEC Bounce Case For iPhone 3G / 3GS (Black)

Being a rather discerning kinda chap, I am rather choosy when it comes to protecting my beloved iPhone with something that is suitable for the job. I own a lot of cases and I do mean a LOT!!, and tend to change my cases on a regular basis depending on the type of environment I am subjecting my iPhone to (accessories etc).

I actually stumbled across this case in a well known supermarket and was very impressed with the design and feel of the case. Play.com are selling this for exactly the same price that I payed for it, so well done again to Play.com.

The case is made of a very sturdy type of rubber that is not as soft as other rubber cases on the market, which is a really GOOD thing, but it is quite pliable. This means that when you put it in your pocket or on the table etc it does not attract fluff, dust and lint.

The case can take a little time to put on, just be patient and ease it on slowly (I foung the best way was to fit the top of the iPhone first, being careful to sit the Silent/Ringer switch into the cutout and then easing the sides in and then finishing off on the bottom) once on the fit is absolutely brilliant with no play at all and the case allows all the functionality of the iPhone, including: Camera, Volume Up/Down buttons on the side of the phone and the Sleep/Wake button on the top through the case. The Silent Ringer switch is exposed to allow it to be toggled back and forth, but it is very well protected from any bumps etc, by being recessed.

There is excellent access to the 30 Pin Dock connector for charging/syncing etc, and the slot is elongated to allow the Mic and Speaker to be free from being covered. The case even allows the SIM Card tray to be removed with the case fitted also.

The standard Apple headphone jack fits through the case perfectly.

The case has a 'lay on the table' design and allows the iPhone to be placed screen side down onto a table if needed, without touching the screen and it covers the chrome bezel to avoid scratches.

I really can't praise this case enough and it is one that I have been in search of for a very long time to be honest, and for the price.. who can argue!

If you are looking for a robust case that does not take away the iPhones quality looks and allows full access to all of the features of the iPhone, then i would rate this case as the best rubber case that is on the market today!

I recently spent ages trying to find the perfect case for my iPhone, trawling reviews on the net. A few months ago I ended up purchasing a Switcheasy Rebel Serpent. The Switcheasy is a great case but as soon as I saw the Protec Bounce case on my mate's iPhone I wanted one.

It is lighter, slimmer and looks more sleek than the Switcheasy.

I don't think it would offer the same level of protection if dropped on a hard surface from height and it doesn't come with all the nice extras that Switcheasy cases do (i.e. screen protectors, port cap etc) BUT it is half the price and will protect against bumps and scratches.

I also like the snug fit which means you get a better 'feel' for the phone through the case.

You won't find a better case for 10 pounds (and maybe not for 20 pounds either).

in my opinion this case is the best case in quality,style and protection for iphone 3gs.

Having just got my first iphone I was keen on finding a case that would not only be decent value, but offer the best sort of protection. I searched the web and talked to a couple of friends who had smart phones, but having found the Pro Tec case on Play, it seemed to have good feedback from owners and was selling at a good price.
Ive had the case now for about two months and I love it. Its very durable and sturdy, without being too bulky - it is reasonably slim fitting so doesnt add too much bulk to the phone itself. The material also doesnt attract dust and lint etc from being in my pocket, as other reviewers have said.
It is very plain so aesthetically its nothing fancy, so there are probably cases out there easier on the eye. But for me, the purpose of the case is to protect a sensitive bit of kit from getting damaged through everyday use, and the Pro Tec Bounce is ideal for that. At the price it is at the moment, it is essential.
On a marginally negative note, once its on the phone, it is quite tricky to take it off again (i like to remove the case when Im charging the phone to avoid too much heat build up), but its not too much of an issue to spoil it.
Overall though, I am very pleased with the case and would recommend it

I've bought a few cases now and never been happy with any, until now. Usually, they're too thin and flimsy or too fat and you can't access ports of buttons.

The PRO TEC is a great case. It's tough enough to protect your phone from every day mishaps, but is designed in such a way that you still have a feel for the phone in terms of volume, mute controls and so on.

It's a must have!!!
