There is no hole for the mute button/slider! This means that I had to remove the iband every time I wanted to switch the iphone to silent/mute mode! For me, this makes the product pretty useless. (If the designers/manufacturers were to add a mute slider hole, this could be a great product)
High hopes - dashed by poor product. Unable to turn phone on/off when fitted. You could do a better job of protecting your ipoine with a bicycle inner tube. Complete and utter waste of money. I wasted mine, so you don't have to!
Now buying an alternative....
This product is awesome.........
If you are buying it to stop scratches etc, you are missing the point of the product!
It is designed to protect the iphone from impact damage (external and more importantly....internal) and is far far better than anything else on the market at doing this - check out the d3o website where there are videos of an iphone with an iband on...
1) Being thrown hard at a wall and surviving!!
2) Being thrown off a 3rd floor balcony and surviving (over ad over)!!
I have paired mine up with an invisible skin for screen and surface protection.
You only have drop your precious iphone once and you'll be so glad you have this product.
Look at the range of products this material is used in on their site.........almost every extreme sport you can imagine and now it seems to be implemented in front line soldier helmets for protection....................military applications - awesoem!!

Just to confirm that I also recieved the new model with the holes for access to all the buttons. They are however still a bit tricky to push/slide due to the thickness of the band but acceptable for the level of protection it offers.
Just to address other comments - I REALLY don't know if some of these people bought the same product as THERE IS a hole for the on/off button and THERE IS a hole for the mute and volume controls.
PROS - hard wearing case phone as survived being dropped on to our ceramic kitchen floor several times that has to be a mjor plus for me. Easy access to all the controls that you need
CONS - a little on the large side and doesn't protect the screen, but seeing as the phone will most of the time be hitting the floor on an edge this really isn't much of an issue. I wanted screen scratch protection so bought a screen protector for that. It does also make the phone weigh a little more.
I liked it so much I've bought another for my hubbie ...
