Motorola Milestone / Android / Sim Free / Unlocked / 5 Megapixel / Touch Screen Mobile Phone

I've had one since late December, replacing my iPhone with one of these was a hard decision but I've not regretted it. I've freed myself from the restrictive app policies that Apple enforce! The apps for Android don't number as many as the iPhone, but there are far more that are free. The quality of the apps will get better and better (games are poor compared to the iPhone).

Call quality is decent, and I like the fact that contacts can be managed through your Google Mail account.

Web browsing is pretty easy (has multi-touch to do pinch and zoom).. it'll be good when we get Flash support in the next few months (not due on the iPhone for a long time!), and the free sat-nav app by Google is due out soon too.

Love this phone. Drop it all the time and it never brakes. Swapped it for my iPhone and its so much better.

I have found phone I love at last. I have been through many phones and have always got bored with them. I could bore you with a list of ones I have had, but that would be unfair. Lets just say I have had all operating systems out there (although not the iphone, REEEAALLLYYY not interested in that one) I had a htc g1 when they first came out and loved that phone also, however it came to a sad end when I dropped it and a mate drove over it. Since then i Have tried other phones. My last one was a htc hero, which I have to say was a awesome bit of kit in its own right. I realised then that I wanted to stay with android but wanted a bigger and better phone.

So along came my Milestone, AWESOME.
great screen, great keyboard (although some done get on with it) Very quick even though it doesnt have the latest 1ghz processor.

This is a very well built phone, feels great in the hand. I have had no issues with rebooting, the battery lasts 2 days on light use and everything works just right.

I cant recomend this phone enought, if you was thinking about it, buy it, you wont regret it espescially as 2.2 is just round the corner.

I've had this phone just under a year now and I still love it! When it comes to phones I get bored after about 6 months but with the great Operating System and the ever growing variety of Apps this phone can hardly be faulted.
Its very well built, you can tell straight away that its a top end phone, no flimsy plastic just metal. The screen is still bright and responsive even after a years fairly hard use and has proven very stable.
As one of the revierws mentioned it has a slower processor than most Smart phones but this rarely shows and will multi-task with ease.
The downsides are a real world battery performance requiring a charge every night, but that's common with these kind of phones. The keyboard is poor, the buttons arn't raised and are small but at least it has one! Its lost a star only really due to the poor support and development from Motorola, we've been promised Android 2.2 since the summer of 2010 and still havn't had it with next to no reasons of explainations from Motorola, apprently its ariiving Q1 of 2011, when it does though this really will keep this phone near the top of Android devices for at least another 9-12 months.
In conclusion I would thoroughly recommend this phone, its does everything its designed to do very well and I would definitely buy another Android phone when this one finally dies and probably, despite their support short-comings, another Motorola too!
