 iPhone killer

| | See all chopperjoe's reviews (14)

Lots of phones claim to be the iPhone killer but this is the first i believe can do it. Its lighter and thinner. Its extremely fast allowing multiple applications to be open at once. I have had over 10 open at one time with no noticeable difference in speed. As soon as the app is pressed it is open and running. It has millions of apps and from the moment i turned this phone on for the first time it asked if i had a google account which i did and from there it synced with my google account downloading my pictures, email, calendar and contacts. Syncing is instant when there is an update from the phone or from the google server. Google maps runs fantastic on the phone. Sound quality is excellent as well as its touch.

 best just got better

This phone was brilliant before the new software update, very fast, easy to use, great voice input software. Even the 40,000 apps were a lot better than I expected.

Since the software update to android 2.2(froyo) you can now send your 3g connection wirelessly to any wifi ready device(ipod, laptop) straight out of the box. You can also view all the flash content the web has to offer thanks to adobe flash being fully integrated with the browser. It also runs a lot faster than before. Anyone buying a Desire can expect to wait a few months for this functionality.

Other than that this is a great phone, with great build quality but a not so great battery life. Music player is also a bit of a let down but hey you cant have it all.
Buy this phone and you wont be disapointed.

Top 10 Mobile Reviewer

One reviewer says wait for the HTC Desire? Why? The Desire will be a good phone but won't include the noise cancelling microphone which is one of the main features of the Nexus One.
I believe the Nexus One is the best Android device to date (beating the Desire)
If you want a phone which can:
multi-touch touch screen
Google Map Navigation (via Android Market for free)
5MP camera
Noise Cancelling microphone
up to 32GB micro sd card
fast connection to the internet
and more features than I can name here.
Android is updated regularly (unlike another phone I could mention) and is fast becoming the leader in the mobile phone market.

There are phones and then there is the Nexus One. A leader in it's own right.

I've owned this phone for over four months now and I have yet to experience the lag problems the other reviewer has experienced.

The best phone in the world!

This phone is a leap forward in phone technology, the speed and responsivness is second to none its the ONLY phone with proper working voice control. sure you can bodge it on to a desire but without the noice cancelling hardware it doesnt work properly
there are 40000 apps most of which are free im still getting through them the build quality is second to none. its just the most pleasing pleasant experience to use. it does everything brilliantly and you can customise it endlessly. Like all google things its very cheap to run works perfectly. Ive had mine a few days and already i couldnt live without it.. I use mine for my facebook watching TV and loads more even when im at my PC as its just works better and simpler on the Nexus.. You wont be dissappointed

To date the Nexus One must be the best Android phone at this moment in time. It's running Android 2.1 and the 1GHZ Snapdragon processor makes this phone go really quickly. Multiple applications are able to run very smoothly, web browsing is a joy to use, the stock on screen keyboard is very responsive.

If you don't want Sense UI and want Google's firmware updates as fast as possible, go for this phone.

It will not disappoint!
