HTC HD 2 Extended Genuine Battery (HD2)

For day to day use I'm not using this - it's bulky... adds weight to the phone and most importantly does not allow you to dock the phone in various car cradles including my one. Therefore for most people I would suggest getting a desk dock which allows you to charge a second battery and simply buy a second standard battery for 15 pounds and take that with you when you're away along with the desk dock to charge the second battery or the one that's not in use. However if you're going to be away from a charger for a long time - when travelling or on a long haul flight etc this battery is perfect for making sure the phone can last longer.

The battery does what it says on the tin - it's great for any heavy users. However anything other than the most recent firmware on your phone will cause it to flash the LED green/amber and fail to charge - so it will just run out and die. FORTUNATELY, you can find the latest firmware for Vodafone, O2 and T-Mobile HD2s on the HTC website. Follow the instructions, load it up and everything works fine - BUT DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP YOUR PHONE FIRST so that you can restore your own apps and settings.

Lets be honest if you are buying this you are probably like me and getting fed up with the poor battery on the HD2, the cover yes is bulky'ish and also the whole thing obviously does add a little more weight to the phone, i do find however it is alot nicer than the cheaper alternative that is being offered. The kick stand is great and provides a great angle however i am sure you like me have tried to work out from the picture how the kickstand can work in portrait mode as the description says and you would be right in thinking that it cant work because it doesnt, the stand will only allow you to view it in landscape mode. overall not bad please note as well this is not a metal casing like the original it is plastic but good quality all the same
