Nexxus Drivetransmit Pro Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit with FM Transmitter

Its rare for a product to totally exceed my expectations but this little transmitter has done just that. First and foremost the sound quality is better than any other FM transmitter I've ever used (I've owned 3 - including the original iTrip). The bluetooth feature works and seamlessly integrates with my iphone 4. Build quality is very good and the backlit buttons are useful at night.

Very plesantly surprised - easy to set up and the FM sound quality is good enough that I might not even bother connecting the aux cable up. The manual doesn't emphasise the automatic tuning to find a spare frequency but it's easy and works well (press the tuning knob for 3 seconds and it jumps to an empty frequency).

And the call button works with Siri on an iPhone 4S - just hold it down for a second to access voice control. So for me, it's basically perfect.

Buy one. It's super. Can't fault the build quality or the operation. It does exactly what it claims. Play has them for less than eBay which is a bonus. Easy to use, easy to connect too and good sound quality. I might well just buy the company!

Previously purchased a realy cheap fm transmitter but could not stand the poor music quality , so I decided to spend a little more money and it was well worth it . Connected straight away no problem an the sound quality was very good not cd quality but definatly listenable . Plus the added bonus of being able to receive an give outgoing calls using the car stereo speakers is a excellent added bonus . The cigarette lighter fitting is tight but it needs to be for it to staty in place while driving , I could only see this being a problem while parking in dodgy places an wanting to remove the device from sight .

Sceptical of the price (you only get what you pay for) I bought this on the basis of the other reviews to replace a cheap and nasty. 100% impressed. I've even stopped using my parrot kit as the nexxus is clearer and I'm off to buy the wife one. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I can't work out the auto tune and the instructions don't mention it.

This works great for the price. I was considering the Jabra Cruise, but decided it was too expensive and would be very annoying if the battery ran out in middle of a song, I expect the Nexxus is more powerful too.

The buttons feel of good quality and the bendy arm is flexible but able to hold the desired shape. It was a little tight getting the plug into my cigarette lighter but I believe that was purposeful to ensure it holds its position.

It quickly paired with my Google Nexus One running Android (gingerbread) and I was able to control music playback using the device. I haven't tried the calling features yet but that's not why I bought it anyway.

Having read all of the reviews here, I was comfortable enough to order it. I was prepared for the "snug" fit into the lighter socket and that is certainly what you get! This isn't a minus point for me, as I would prefer a solid fit and intend to keep the transmitter in situ. As said before, it is a breeze to set up and the stereo audio through my car stereo is excellent. If your tracks are low quality recordings, ( I chose to play some old classical track but it was a low bitrate and contained hiss I had not been aware of previously), then expect average performance. It had no problem with higher quality ones - indeed. I had to quickly turn the device's volume down to compensate. My iPhone 3GS works flawlessly. The killer capability for me is the ability to press and hold the device's call button for 3 seconds, which elicits the iPhone's Voice Command function. Without taking my eyes off the road, I can "Call Mum" or "Play songs by Madonna" and I get what I ask for!

i've bought my 3rd one of these now, not due to problems but due to significant others nickign them!

bought for my iphone 4 on my 206, worked a dream, slight hiss if the power cable is connected and using radio...went on holiday to aus, took it with me, sister promptly stole it for her rav4 (she's using iphone 3)

came back, bought another one, mrs stole it for her polo...

bought final one (i hope) and using it for my new smart car with aux in, no hiss or anything even with power cable, clear calls, couldn't be happier with purchase! top product!

shows 50 quid + for a blue tooth kit that doesn't play music is a waste of time!

would be better if could select who you are calling but as long as you don't speak like a mong i find the voice calling (hold down the call button) on the iphone 4 works fine with this kit.

only other draw back is if you have it plugged in and either as aux in or tuned to specific frequency and you are listening to another radio station, it wont cut the channel for the call...not really an issue for me cos if i feel the phone ringing i switch to the right freq/aux fairly easily though.......

I bought this to play music from my HTC Desire and also to take calls whilst driving. I have been very impressed, call quality was excellent and the ease of playing mp3's through the stereo is great. You need to keep the device volume high so that it comes through clearly on the radio.

There are just a couple of things to be careful of, the fit into the cigarette lighter is very tight but I just keep it plugged in all of the time. It has places to plug in your wires to charge your devices so not really a problem. I found that that finding the best frequency (with no radio station on it!) on the move can be a bit of an issue as you are passing through different places but this can easily changed with a bit of fiddling around with it. Luckily it's quite hands free friendly as you would expect so changing the frequency isn't dangerous whilst driving!

Overall I have found this to be amazing value for money and I'm really pleased I bought it.
