JCB Tradesman TOUGHPHONE / Sim Free / Unlocked Mobile Phone

Got this phone for my dad as he is always breaking and damaging his phones. I wanted a strong phone that wont break if dropped a few times.

Bad points.
When I took it out of the box I was already disappointed. It felt like a cheap plastic toy phone.

The interface is rubbish and the screen is so small that it does not have enough space for the telephone number and name to appear side by side, instead a speech bubble with the telephone number appears next to each name in the contact list.

It feels like the people behind this phone didnt give a second thought about the screen size or how difficult it would be to navigate the options and read whats on the screen.

If I had a chance to examine and test it I would not have brought it. And no way should this phone cost 60-70 pounds it looks and operates like a 10-20 pound phone.

Good Points.
Battery life is good.
After 3 weeks its still working.

Overall.
Its a cheap phone with a JCB logo and sold with a huge mark up. Avoid It.

This phone is a no nonsense, sturdy, reliable piece of kit.

I bought this for my boyfriend who works on a fishing boat, and also for HM Coastguard Search and Rescue - needless to say, the floating aspect of this phone was a major appeal.

If you're looking at this from the wrong angle, expecting fancy-pants gizmos to wow the science nerds and to win first place at the fashion show, then you're in the wrong place; but if you're after something that you can depend on to make texts and calls (after all, that's what a phone is for, isn't it?) and not fall apart under the pressures of your rugged, manly lifestyle, then I suggest you BUY THIS PHONE!!
