 Rarely works

I bought this to develop some widgets for. It rarely stays connected to the Nexus One (even though it states support for this phone). Constant disconnects and inflexible software (no customisation on what tweets/emails you get notifications for) and a 4 hour battery life for a watch, not looking good.

 Good (when it works)

As per the title, when it DOES connect it's a useful and fun device with growing support via plugins easily available through the app market. BUT more than half the time it doesn't connect (to a Dell Streak, ironically I couldn't get it to connect to an SE X10 at all!)). I had problems with it freezing (the LiveView device not my phone luckily), not connecting or just not working. The instruction book is very limited and Sony Ericsson seem to have minimal support for the LiveView device. I read there is a firmware update but couldn't find it (or a date more specific than January 2011) so I sent it back for a refund. I'll happily buy one again when the problems are sorted out as I can see such potential and would like to develop my own plugins

despite the other 3 reviews about LiveView when i wrote this review. I think what they are saying is utter tosh. LiveView is so small and lightweight but it still packs so much of a punch. Being able to read incoming messages, facebook info, twitter stuff and see if anyone is calling you or if you have missed a call is so so cool. I personally use it as a watch and for music controls. Also, despite these functions that i have named and the ones on the product info there are also more on the android market availabe for download, 90% of which are free

 Fun Little Gadget

I've always liked the idea of having a small computer on your wrist (something like a pitboy from FallOut) and although this isn't as functional as what could be made, its still extremely good.

The design is small and lighweight, feels well built and the screen is glossy and smooth. The strap that comes with it is a bit naff, some velcro strap, but its hardly bad.

For whats its worth its pretty good. Its best whenever I get a call and can see on my wrist whos calling me, or if I get a text and can just quickly open it instead of getting my phone out. It also vibrates with a call or a text, useful if you have your phone on silent alot. The battery life seems quite long, I've been wearing it for about 12 hours now and Id take a guess that about 70-80% is remaining.

The plugins are pretty useful - Can check the weather and one which could be very good is the contact caller, combine this with a blutooth headset and won't need to take the phone out for calls anymore!

The only problems I have is that its a new product, and at the moment theres not a great amount of plugins available thats made for it. I hardly use the plugins as much as I use it to check texts and all that, I just wish people who develop more stuff for it. The other problem I have is that its not a NEEDED product - Its brilliant to have on, but then again I could just get my phone out.

No connection problems, runs fine on my Xperia X10 Mini Pro Android 2.1.

I'd say get it if you like your gadgets, its great to have on and you feel like some proper agent type thing pressing button on your wrist to answer calls!

Has so much potential too bad it sucks!

Great product if it works! Bluetooth will not connect properly. Tried on a Hero and N1 seems lots of people other than SE phones have this issue. You will spend at least a quarter or half your battery trying to get this device to work. Very frustrating especially as Song say they will not update the firmware to fix the issues!

I have got it to work twice and it works very well and is very cool with all the extra apps you can download.

Battery is pretty poor to 4 hours half a battery left, i give it another 3 hours till it dies. Also keep in mind its not even connected to the phone so one can only imagine how bad the battery can be!

Unless you have a SE phone dont get it, it just wont work!
