 Worst phone ever

| | See all wideload1993's reviews (1)

The day i got this phone it was brilliant but after a few days this phone went down hill fast the screen kept unlocking itself and the operating system kept going down it was unusable for days then it decided to want to work until it got to the stage where it froze constantly and eventually died and this was only 2 weeks later i thought it was just this one phone but my brother got this phone aswell and his did the same so i wouldn't buy it if you want a reliable phone

At under 100 pounds it's fantastic.

Great Screen and Speaker
Free android voice navigation.
Better speaker than another mobile I bought which cost me 325 pounds!

Genius from ZTE.

If it had a 100htz processor I'd have given it 5 stars.

 Even better with Android 2.2

Unfortunately, Orange have preloaded the phone with their own software and interface, plus it's only running Android 2.1. There is a huge difference in speed and performance with Android 2.2.

The hardware on this phone is perfect. Luckily the model I have has an OLED screen but I've heard the newer models ship with an LCD screen.

The first thing you should do is install Android 2.2. It removes all the bloatware and rubbish. Search "How To Install Android 2.2 (FroYo) / Custom ROMs From Scratch On The Orange San Francisco / ZTE Blade" on Google. It takes less than 10 minutes to do.

 Perfect cheap smart phone

I got this phone a couple of months ago, and I can't speak of it more highly. Its a fantastic cheap alternative to a htc smart phone etc. You need to be on dolphin really as it gives you 100mb of internet per month and you can also add on another 250mb for 5 pounds if you really need it. This phone is easy to use and has tons of features, I'm still finding out new things about it after having it for 4 months. It won't look out of place next to the iphone or more expensive smart phones. The picture quality is amazing for the price of the phone, very clear although the zoom isn't fantastic. If you haven't had a touch screen before, it may take a while to get used to, but when you have it is simple to use. I really do love this phone and would recomend it to anyone.

For under a ton this is the one

This phone is sold in many other countries as a ZTE Blade so if you want to know more about the phone searching with that name opens up a whole new area of info.
Now the phone is a cracking example of miniaturization with a 600 Mhz CPU is really does pack a punch. Ok you have phones with more but for 100 notes and depending what you want the phone to do it is ideal.
The touch screen is great very colorful and the touch sensitivity is spot on. The qwerty keyboard works a treat with my large fingers and the whole device is just so much fun to use.
Running Android 2.1 it is great but as said the Orange bloat programs do get in the way a bit. But it does not take away how great this device is.
I have unlocked for free and installed a new OS in Jellyfish 2.2 and it comes alive even more. (Doing this voids warranty).
The new OS frees up CPU power and that in turn gives more battery time as well.
For the user of Twitter, Facebook, music on the go this is a joy to have. If you love really high powered games the system may struggle but you really should go for a more powerful cpu if that is your thing.
build quality is very good with metal side panels and a decent plastic finish it feels great in your hand. The device is a great phone with the earpiece and mic working flawlessly to give a crystal clear conversation.
Download Opera Mini and the device turns into a great web surfing phone and one of the best in my opinion, all the apps I have run fast and well. I am really struggling to find a fault with the device.
Comes with 10 quid airtime and if you take your number to Orange they give you another 30 quid so taking the phone cost to 60 quid. WOW.
Buy it and upload android 2.2 and you have not only one of the best smart phones but the BEST budget phone ever!

 What a Bargain!! Great Phone!!

Delivery first rate, but to the phone; I struggled at first trying swap the operating system over to Android 2.2, but once I found my feet it was relatively easy (tho it voids warranty so I was nervous).

For the price it's an amazing bit of kit - if you change the operating system, tho the orange stuff might be ok - you really want a de-branded Android system.

Sadly all the OLED models have been sold - only TFT left, but it still looks great.

I don't know if play would take exception to me giving the guide I used a shout out - so I'll just say that there are a few imitators out there but once you find the forum where others have copied from you'll be fine.
All the unlock code/operating systems are FREE - don't get dupped.
A final tip - use the Wifi connection to access the Android market (not the orange app store - tho that can't be connected to via wifi anyway!!!) to get Astro file manager and advanced task killer which will aid your upgrade, good luck - tho all alterations you make are at your own risk, do your research!!

Great Phone as good as HTC Desire?? for half the price!!

These phones have o.l.e.d. screen makes them really bright and the colours are crystal clear. Lightening speed internet plus google android os. These phones are a no brainer for that price.

 Great Phone

I've had mine for a month now and it's a fantastic phone at great value. Camera isn't the best but besides that you won't get a better mobile for the price.
