around 9.5-10.5MB write speed and 15-18MB read speed,

Anyone posting having issues with speed and using a card reader/android phone

-Use the provided MicroSD to StandardSD in your pc/laptop that way i got full speeds.

android system tests showed at least 10MB write and atleast 15MB read

Perfect size to have an ipod's worth of music on it and still have your videos and pictures from your camera: Galaxy ace ;)

Recommend this product!

was great for a couple months after first starting to use it had all of my music stored on it no problems then it starts corrupting and once it started, it never stopped, re format after re format.

Great Performance. Works in Nokia X7-00.

Initially had some problems with trying to read/write data to card, but I think it's more likely to have been the card reader/writer. Using different SDHC USB stick, re-formated (not quick) then tested card now functioning OK, see results below.

Warning: Only 15250 of 15251 MByte tested.
Test finished without errors.
Writing speed: 10.8 MByte/s
Reading speed: 17.3 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4

Inserted into Nokia X7-00 Working OK. One star removed as it's cheaper today then when I bought it last week !!!!

Inconsistencies with the PNY SDHC cards

I purchased this together with a 8GM PNY SD card and was quite surprised to see that the 16GB card unlike the 8GB one did not come in the original PNY branded packaging. It just came in some white plastic packaging. Also there was no adapter included even though it came in a case with an adapter space. Looks like it has been repackaged. A small thing but with the 8GB card the official packaging offers a free movie download so you'll not get this with the 16GB card. So all in all the 8GB card is worth the buy but not the 16GB one. Also delivery took the maximum 5 working days so if you want it quick choose some other online retailer. For an item this small I would normally have expected next day delivery as offered by some of the competitors.

Happy with purchase, but word of warning....

The reviews for this device seem a little hit & miss on here.

However, as I've just been stung with a 32GB MicroSD from eBay that was a fake, I thought I'd give this a go - even after reading all of the reviews.

OK, so PNY packaged MicroSD card arrived today. The SD adaptor has PNY on it, but the MicroSD card does not. The card is labelled as a Class 10 card, which from what I've read means it'll write at 10MB/s.

After dealing with the eBay fake, I now use H2testw.exe to test all memory cards. Results for this card:-

Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 11.0 MByte/s
Reading speed: 16.5 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4

Which I personally am happy with. 15MB/s write would be nice, but I'm not too bothered.

The word of warning in the title...I originally tested the MicroSD card in it's SD adaptor, plugged directly in to my laptop (it has a SDCard slot). The H2testw write speed never went much above 3MB/s !!!

After reading some of the reviews here of people who got the same speed, I thought time to send it back. But then thought I'd just try once more, this time - MicroSD card, in SD adaptor, in USB to SD card reader.... 11MB/s write speed. What's to say that the USB SD card reader isn't slowing the speed down ? So it may actually write at 15MB/s..

Overall, very happy :-)

Please note this card is not compatible with the Motorola Defy running 2.2, you will get lock ups etc. This is not a fault of the card though its Android 2.2 apparently

Mine came in PNY retail packaging with an adaptor. in a Motorola Defy using SD Tools the speeds are:

Write Speed: 9.8MB/s
Read Speeds: 25.8MB/s

i was a bit dubious about buying one of these because of some of the reviews left by others but im happy to say i bought 2 of these cards and they were REAL PNY Class 10 RETAIL that i recieved, ive got 1 in my Wildfire S and its perfect, Thank you :0)

  Great peak read/write performance

Running tests on Samsung Galaxy S II, using J Disk Benchmark 3.0 app (50MB size test data, 4KB buffer size):
Write: 20.4MB/s, 19.70MB/s, 21.8MB/s
Read: 21.3MB/s, 21.86MB/s, 22.13MB/s

Real life performance, however is different - when I use a USB cable and try to copy large movie from my PC to the phone, initially I get stable 20-23MB/s write speed, but after copying the first 500MB of the movie then the speed drops to 3-5MB/s and keeps coping like that to the end of file (1.7GB). That is a bit frustrating and I don't know what the reason is, but in general this memory works extremely fast on the phone.

  So far so good.

I bought this for my HTC Desire Z mobile phone. The card i recieved did not have the PNY logo on it. I followed other reviewers by doing a speed test twice on the card using h2testw_1.4. I got:
Writing speed: 13.9 MByte/s
Reading speed: 16.7 MByte/s
I found that formatting the card first on the PC improved results.
Once installed on the phone i used an Android App called SD Tools. And i checked it again, and got:
Write 13.1MB/s
Read 20.1MB/s
So far i can see that this card is alot faster than the original class 2 card i had in my HTC Desire Z phone.
