Trixes iPhone Transmitter To FM Radio And Car Charger For iPhone 3G 3Gs 4 / iPod Touch 2nd Gen

Utter rubbish. used this once on the way home on a long drive. as soon as i plugged it in it blew the 12v circuit in my car. replaced fuse once home. worked for a few minutes (poor sound quality and quiet) tried to use it a 2nd time some days later only to find it didnt work at all. waste on 9pound . should have brought a pack of cds and left them in the car instead!

DONT BUY THIS ITS AWFUL!

Set this up with my iPhone 4 and 56 reg Honda Civic the signal was very weak and gave terrible sound quality. The music wouldn't play for anymore than 20 seconds before the signal dropped out and my car changed to the closest radio station. I tried disabling auto-select on my car but that didn't make a difference. Needless to say I am very disappointed in this product despite only paying a tenner I expected it to at least play my music even if the sound quality wasn't great.

I am pleased with this item, its a very smart design and good idea. Of course for this price you can't expect it to be perfect. 1 major thing to note with this item is the length of the lead, it is approx 15cm long, from memory, which is awkward depending on the location of your cigarette lighter. I lenghtened mine and it is much better. A second, slight, problem, it sometimes gets interference from your handset, the traditional problem when a handset is near speakers etc.

The remote isn't that useful, but since it connects to the iPod and effectively wirelessly streams your music, I've found it was unnecessary!
The Car charger is a neat idea, since the transmitter uses up your iPod battery more quickly than headphones or a 3.5mm jack.
The product itself means you can play your iPod through anything with a FM radio, so cars which are too old to have an iPod aux cable, CD players or even my grandma's 80s cassette boombox!
Connection and music quality is best when still, away from things that can cause interference (phones, computers on WiFi, some metal objects), or generally put down still when music is selected. You must tune the radio to a frequency where there are no broadcast radio stations (so you hear just white noise) and then use the up and down buttons on the product to try and match to the channel. If you choose a frequency with a station already on, when you move the iPod, it will occasionally jump to that stations music for a second!

On the whole, decent kit for a good price (nothing as special as the top range ones, but c'mon - it's less than a tenner) which means you can enjoy your music without having to upgrade your radios!

bought product mainly for price, and took a gamble as i have a nano 4th gen, which it didnt state whether it would work with. but is a great product really happy and having a remote is an extra bonus and makes it a lot easier to skip songs when driving
