Reading previous reviews, you would think this phone to be complete rubbish, but i have had this phone for almost 2 years without any trouble at all. Its rugged, good looking and simple. The camera is average and so is the mp3 player...but thats why i have an ipod...and a camera.
The battery life on my phone has been fine, lasting for about 4 days at a time, with text messages and calls.
I would personally recommend this phone to anyone.

I think this phone is brilliant for a all round phone especially for young people. There is nothing wrong with the battery life, I had one and it was perfect, it fell thousands of times and did not mess up.

Worst battery life phone ever by Nokia! buy 6300 Black.... which is better than this mobile.

I refund 2 of 6300 silvers then got 6300 Black and found much better then silver.

Advice: Buy Nokia 6300 Black instead of Silver.

I have had this phone for about 6 months now and have had nothing but trouble. The battery life is absolutely rubbish. From fully charged it won't last 48 hours and if you make any calls you can reduce that to 24 hours... ... useless. I've also had problems with the microphones and have returned 2 of these already, the latest has recently developed the same problem. I'm sick and tired of having full signal and clearly hearing the person on the other end of the phone say that they can't hear me, or that it's a 'really bad line'. Not a bad phone if you don't make phone calls and can have it permanently plugged in. Don't buy!

A terrific phone. Great screen and menus. More rugged than a Mancunian barmaid. Does everything a phone should and does it really well. If you want a better camera, go buy a camera.

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars It's OK

Hmm, Im still on the fence about this phone. Ive just bought it, to replace my old W810i, and ive got to say, i wish i'd bought another W810i. The camera on this is really poor, even though both this and the sony ericsson are 2mp cameras, this one is really grainy.
The other let down is the volume of message tones, you cannot hear when you have a text, and the navigation keys are quite hard to use. The phone itself, although being slim, is quite long, but it does look smart in silver.
Its a good looking phone, but if you like taking pictures (decent ones) and if you like your music without distortion, then id recommend buying the sony ericsson W810i. Wish i hadnt wasted my money

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Brilliant !!

I love this phone !! For those of you out there that want to make calls rather that mess around with mostly useless features on other phones this is for you. Very similar to the good old 6230(i) thus very easy to use and quick to find names and functions. The only gripe i have is that you can't use your own voice to initialise calls, it uses a computer generated voice that counds like a darlek. Other than this, a good looking sturdy easy to use phone.

Just about perfect except for fiddly little power switch. You will need sharp nails to work it!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars My favourite ever mobile.

I love the Nokia 6300, it is without a doubt the best phone I ever owned. Everything you could ever want a phone to do, it does, and with ease. It is stylish and hard-wearing, and the camera is brilliant. I would recommend this phone to anyone.
