I brought the LG shine for my wife who had lost her phone recently and she always wanted the shine ever since she had seen the adverts on TV.So i got her one as a suprise present,and she loves it great picture and sound overall good piece kit only downside the battery runs out in 2 days but ok otherwise.i liked it so much i got one for myself to :D

This phone is brilliantly priced at £70 and has alot of features for the money but...

the camera is blurry
Battery time is very very poor
Scroll wheel can be unresponsive
It is impossible to see the screen in daylight
Texting is difficult with the small keys

But it is a great looking phone.
Mine got runover....twice :(

I would recommend this phone, it has a very clear big screen, great camera and the phone looks very nice overall. Bright "flash" (glorified torch as always). Nice user friendly interface. good voice quality.
A couple of negatives worth considering:
Battery life is less than average, normal use gives you about 2 days life. Did not come with a data cable, so regardless of whether or not it should have done don't expect to get one from Play.com and save yourself the disappointment. Important: Not very robust! I accidentally knocked this phone lightly against a baby gate whilst it was in my pocket and the LCD display inside the phone bullet-holed and instantly became three quarters black and yet the phone didn't have mark on it??! Crazy. It cost me £25 for a new display and I fitted it myself (would have cost nearly as much as the phone to get this done professionally).
I didn't write this to put you off, I just think that someone who needs a robust reliable phone should probably get something else

Ordered the LG Shine off play a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with it, particularly the build quality and style. its screen is large and very good, however it is difficult to see with any moderate sunlight due to the mirror effect.

i also bought a 2gb micro sd card with it and this works well and can store thousands of pics or hundreds of tracks on. the multi task is a neat little feature which lets you listen to music while texting or doing many other things and the scroll key is quirky, but can often be a tad fiddly at times.

if was nit picking could also say texting is rather slow compared to some other phones and the battery life is not great, usually lasting around 1-2 days of light to moderate use.

overall it is a well made phone, with a good range of features, worthy of £60 of any1s money, would highly recommend

This was a replacement for a previous Lg phone and I must say it has not dissapointed. Easyto use. One drawback is that the mirror finish does get smudged easily, so a quick wipe after is needed, other than that no problems and the minisan disk works well. I found the camera not too bad and gave a fairly decent image. I mean if you want great pictures then use a digital camera. All in all for the price a great little phone.

The LG Shine is a great,modern,sophisticated phone which is both easy to use and jam packed with functions. The few downside are: the screen is virtually invisible outside making it very hard to read texts and also hard to keep clean. Greatest feature: Fantastic Camera Worst: Screen Too Dim but overall very good and worth the money!

good fone i found it easy to use similar to samsung however being a metal body is heavier then my light lil samsung but for the price i am impressed x

I got this phone a week ago as a replacement for a Sony Ericsson. The LG Shine is really good quality and the case looks very durable but some of the buttons are a bit fidgety and hard to control. There's also only a preset number of tunes you can choose for the alarm clock. The pictures its takes seem a little blurry for the 2MP camera. Overall a very decent phone for the price.
