Bluetrek ST1 Stereo Bluetooth Headset

Sound quality is pretty good from both my PC and Nokia phone to these headphones. I've not tried the built in mic. They are comparable to several pairs of iTech Blueband headphones I've owned over the years. My iTech's are cutting out a lot now (they used to be fine), so I thought I'd try these. They paired immediately with my MSI BTOES 2.0 USB Bluetooth dongle and my Nokia E90 phone.

They're quite comfy sitting at a desk, but the loop piece rests at the base of your neck, where it meets your shoulders. If you move your head about a bit, like you might if jogging or cycling, the ear buds move about a lot.

I'm very pleased with these so far and have resigned the iTech's to the drawer. At the price, they're a very good deal.

For the money, excellent and would have no issue recommending them, sound quality is very good, works very well with calls and the controls on the headset are first rate.

But

They are very uncomfortable after 15mins, found my ears getting very sore, bit more comfortable without the protectors.

Also found the phone has to be very close or the signal drops, having in the phone in my jeans pocket resulted in signal loss but in a top shirt pocket was fine.

This is a good piece of kit, I have connected it without any problems to various Nokia phones (A2DP) and also sometimes use it for phone calls through my Mac Mini.

When used in stationary mode like in front of computer it's fine. But you can't lie down, and walking around with it is a bit awkward because you can't turn your head very much without it getting in the way.

However the really bad thing is the plastic bit of tubing on the left side has now broken, after only light use, and always kept in case in between use. The design means the tubes are twisted every time it is used, so I expect them to test the material used to be strong but flexible. Not.

Avoid.

An absolute steal at this price. A stereo bluetooth headset that works as advertised. Good battery life, good sound (better than most bundled wired phome/mp3 player buds), comfortable and stays in place, what more do you want. Mic is decent, but I don;t think it uses noise cancellation, so not great for driving if you have a noisy car, but quality is fine. They even look half decent (I received the black version). Used with an intel Macbook under Tiger and Leopard, and with a Sony Ericsson M600i. Save a whole load of cash over the S9, and get a better headset out of it too.

A great bit of kit sound very clear, switch songs, volume up and down, at this price you can't go wrong.
