Nokia 6300 Vodafone Pre-Pay / Pay As You Go Mobile Phone

When this phone first come onto the market I didn't actually think anything of it as it seemed pretty average. In the last year I have had the Nokia N95, Sony Ericsson W880i, Sony Ericsson W580i, Sony Ericsson K550i, LG Chocolate and a Samsung U600. Why have I had so many handsets??? I get bored easy!!!

Anyway, the Nokia 6300 is probably the most basic of all the phones I've had but is certainly my favourite. I don't know what but theres something about this phone that makes me want to hang onto it. It could be the simplicity itself!!!

The Nokia 6300 is packed full of the lastest technology: Camera, Bluetooth, Radio, MP3, Email, Calendar, Internet...

I use an Apple Mac so didn't know if the Nokia would be able to sync with my .mail account. But it does!!! Most Samsung & Sony Ericssons also sync with .mail.

Although it seems I have had more expensive phones, I prefer something that doesn't make a fuss and is discreet without having to pay silly money for. At under £80.00 it is certainly a good buy.

The Nokia 6300 is a good size, when I had the N95 it was always a problem with having it in my pocket.

With all the previously hansets I've always had small issues - Nokia N95: Loss Slider & Big - W880i: Poor Signal Strength - W580i: Chunky & Plastic - Samsung U600: Looks Girly - LG Chocolate: Buttons Too Sensitive.

I really like my 6300, it's very solidly built and the screen is really clear. Buttons have a quality feel to them and it's a nice size. The menus are typical Nokia so no nasty surprises.
The bad points, battery life could be better and the mini usb slot is very hard to open, you have to remove the back panel and then still it's a struggle. I have heard people moan about the side volume button being too stiff but I like it just the way it is!

I had a Nokia 6230i which I'd come to know in and out when I got upgraded to the 6300. The camera is better, the screen is lovely and big, all seems great. Once you use it for a little while thought I've found 2 things are not as good as my old 6230i, the battery life isin't nearly as good, standby perhaps 2-3days instead of a week and the voice dialing is terrible unless you sound like Stephen Hawkins - you can train it but only by saying the name and selecting from it's (mad) list of matches. The old 6230i you could train directly - they must fix this on the next version then I'd give it 5 stars. The unit I got has a USB port but getting to it is difficult - it's tight as hell, but works fine ( had to take the cover off and use a screwdriver ), Bluetooth etc works great though.

This phone is a one-in-a-million. It is so sleek and the buttons when you push them down feel lovely. It has all the features you could possibly want - BUY, BUY, BUY!!!!

This phone is just like all Nokias except you can use the Internet where ever you go. Also you can use it as a reciever for the Internet, but that is slow. With an MP3 player, 2MP camera, video, radio, bluetooth, etc. Its a must have and is exceptionally easy to navigate through.
Extra functions include a calculator, stop watch, calender and an alarm clock. Any SD card can be placed to expand the memory on the phone. One of the best around as it does not have overally touch senceative buttons like some phones
