These are the best earphones I've ever had!

Most earphones leave me with horrendous ear ache - these are the only earphones I've ever found that are comfortable enough for me to wear as long as I like. I've had a pair for about 5 years now and they're still working fine. The only problem is that the one cushion has now ripped slightly - but I can't complain as they've had a lot of use!

I'd highly recommend these earphones if you're after comfort!

  good as always

have bought these earphones/earphones from this range, several times and they never disappoint, they're a lot cheaper than other earphones but if looked after last long enough. you'll probably end up needing to buy another pair maybe in afew months or like a year but at the price then it's well worth it for the quality of sound you get.

ups: really good sound and bass, VERY low sound leakage so you can turn it up and not have everyone around you listening to it aswell. alright noise cancellation too, so you don't struggle to hear your music if you're in a busy area.
can be separated from the sony connector and used with the normal phono connector.

downs: one pair varies from the last, so don't expect the exact same quality, one pair might be alright sound and last forever and the next you buy be great sound but only last a week (but like i said at the price, just buy two and always have a spare ready, it's usually one earphone that stops working and they extention cables fine so you end up with alot of extra cables lying around)
it would have got FIVE STAR's but...because of the previous point and the fact that they start of sounding not very bass'y and poor sound but after 2weeks or so of listening then the sound quality improves massively.

so if you do buy these don't listen with them and right away think they're terrible try wearing them in for a couple of weeks and you'll soon realise they're worth more than what they cost.

To be fair they are less than £5 and if you look at earphones in a shop for £5 and see exactly what you get for your money, you realise a fiver is actually a very good price for sony in ear headphones.

The sound qulaity isn't great, its almost like they are being played through a sponge, it's a bit muffled, but hey I still listen to my music just fine and I only notice the sound quality because I use £50 headphones with my ipod.

But for £5 you basically get a sony ericsson adapter, which means that you can actually plug other earphones into your phone, by simply using the adapter which is the bottom half of the earphones, yet this adapter actually comes with a microphone and a button for answering and ending calls, as well as the in ear earphones and three different sizes for different size ears.

So really how do you rate that as value for money? Highly reccomended however the sound quality out of the earphones isn't amazing as i see, being the reason they are 3 stars.

i brought these exact same headfones from play.com about a year ago, and they were brilliant, when they broke from general wear and tear, i brought the exact same ones from play.com again. this time they were useless, they look the same as the original pair i brought, but the sound quality is terrible, it's really flat and weak with no bass.

These headphones are brilliant for £4.99. The quality is good and the comfort isn't bad. Mine fall out a bit but that's not a huge problem. A great buy.

  These are quite fine.

I have used three pairs of these, none sounded the same as each other, but a bit of EQ tweaking and they are fine. Had two pairs for £4.99 and the ones that came with my phone. They lasted quite well, and at the moment I am using a pair with my new OLED mp3 player while I decide what best headphone to use.

£4.99 is a give away price.

  not bad

i had these headphones for about a month then the connection in the middle snapped very easily and quickly also the sound quality is quite poor and quite. i think your better off going to a proper shop and getting the offical one's

  BOGUS EARBUDS....possible solution

Used mainly for driving they were OK but then tried music ....OMG!
Compared to many similar sony earbuds i have these were only 5% as good!

However, if like me you have other earbuds from sony with short cables and an extender similar to the handsfree kit, just plug them in and chuck the originals.

HEY PRESTO.....WICKED SOUNDS ONCE MORE.

Overall verdict: Buy as a portable handsfree "adapter" and plug in your own headphones of choice

PS. I'm not sure how durable the connection of the wire at the phone end is.....on jiggling it the sound will cut out a bit :(
