Last Christmas I was so pleased with my w910i and loved using it for MP3's. However recently my phone has started to randomly reboot itself, sometimes getting stuck with just a red light on and drains the battery.
So far Sony has not replied to my support request and I have a phone which isn't even a year old which is just not reliable.
Previously I have had other brand phones which I have always had for years and only changed when the batteries started to go.
The w910i may well get replaced this Christmas as I'm just sick of the phone. I think the 'huge' price drop on the phone may have something to do with the number of problems with it.

I expected so much better from Sony, and think I will be steering clear of any other SE phones from now on.

This phone looks stylish and keen to the eye but the slender phone breaks very easy even when sliding it up. i had one of these phones and my microphone broke in it after 3 months.the software on the w910i is no better to th w580i or w850i ( i cant remember wich one is the lower model to the w910i) the walkman is just the same as all other walkman phones and if u want to save money then buy the lower version to the w910i because its excactly the same and wont brake as easily as the w910i

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Good W series phone (enthasis on walkman) not camera phone.

As with all sony phones "w" is for walkman - music bias
"K" is for camera - photo bias.
I already had a "k" but never used the camera and was more interested in the walkman so i got one of these on my contract renewal (thought it would save on buying a new mp3 player) - i didn't want the iphone as is still doesn't support bluetooth.
I love this phone,i am still in the honeymoon period. Contacts can easily be imported off your sim card or off your pc if you use the pc suite software, as can media and music.
Music can be just drag and dropped if you put the phone into mass storage mode.
I love the wiggle option for changing track and the walkman software for music is good. Some reviews of this phone warn that after a few months the software goes senile (i have not owned the phone long enough to confirm or deny this fact) i have my spare k800 still just in case.
The phone is very good - pity they can not get a music video phone and you have to choose one or the other.
If you want a camera look at the k series if you want the music this one supports 4gb cards and is a really good player.
If the camera was better i would give a higher score. You can not put personal ring tones to your contacts, this is a shame as this shouldn't be so hard to implement.

The software in this phone causes it to freeze incoherently, also the slide mechanism is poor quality, i have had two replacements so far under my warranty it seems a shame that a company so obssessed with getting the customer the best experience have failed me, on the plus side the buttons are very well made, the screen is brilliant however no flash with the camera is just a no no to me, this is the only time i have been ashamed by sony, hopefully later ericson models will be better .... Stick with the w850i or earlier models ...

I would'nt touch this phone with a barge pole! I've had 3 replacements and it still switches itself on and off and freezes all the time. I've always bought sony ericsson but i also have lost faith in them lately

Just got my phone couple of days back. It is a slim and nice phone , but can't refrain from mentioning some irritating facts.A phone without a flash is a looser, the camera is not upto mark as well.

But the most irritating thing is it's sim card slot. It is almost impossible to take the sim card out of the slot. You have to insert it into a pocket and only about 2m of it will be visible.

Also I can't find any option to import your contacts from the laptop.

This phone is terrible in my opinion. Switches itself off ALL the time, Battery life is poor, Music doesn't go very loud at all, My text messages now refuse to open! I've totally had enough of it and have complained to Sony Ericsson. Has made me totally lose my faith in Sony Ericsson.

The overall features and usability of this phone are great. It's one of the great walkman phones that is brilliant when it decides to work.

However, my mum had one and it went faulty, turning itself off and freezing/reboot light coming on. It was sent off for repair and came back with a software upgrade, apparently fixed. It started doing it again but not turning off and the camera wouldn't come on etc so she got a replacement phone. That too went faulty.

In the meantime, my W580i had developed a common fault and it was replaced with a W910i. That developed the turning itself off fault less than 24 hours after me getting it and it wouldn't come back on again no matter what I tried. I went back to my W580i... the only fault that developed was the buttons cracking!
