Samsung G800 Sim Free / Unlocked 5.0 Megapixel Mobile Phone (Titan Grey)

I purchased this phone as an Orange (UK) Upgrade and due to the cost of the phone had to pay an excess of £100. Still this phone is amazing. The picture quality is superb and can't be beaten by any phone especially since this is the ONLY 5mp Camera phone with a 3x zoom! This phone has everything you could possibly need, MP3 player, microSD slot, video recorder, voice recorder the lot! I chose this phone over its competitors for multiple reasons. One of which was the looks. This phone looks fantastic and the pictured one is the 'Titan Grey' version (the one I have!) The on-line pictures of the phone don't do it justice, it looks a lot better than on pictures etc, especially with the chrome and back face finish. Overall an excellent phone with a 5mp Camera and best of all, it doesn't look like an old man's phone, unlike the N95 for example. The only let down on this phone is the width, and the weight. This is a wide phone! The phone weighs pretty much the same as the N95 and is the same width! If your after a thin (ish) phone with a 5MP camera go for this phones little brother the G600 which itself is a good phone, but not as good.

This is the best phone I have ever bought. Easily. There have been comments about its size, but close comparison shows it is the same length and width as the Samsung D900, with just a larger depth, due to its optical zoom.

The features, then. Well, the 3G has a 7.2Mbps, not 3.6 as mentioned in some places. This makes it over double the speed of the 5MP Sony Ericsson and Nokia phones. On to the camera, now. Well, the massive 5MP is a good place to start. There is a lot of competition on the mobile phone camera front and the Samsung G800 is one of the winners, alongside the Nokia N95. However, something the N95 lacks is an optical zoom. The Samsung G800 is the ONLY 5MP with an optical zoom, which is x3. It also has a digital zoom beyond x3, going up to x12. Many also say that Cybershots are the best cameras, but I must disagree. The features of this camera ensure a perfect picture without the need to take many to capture the right one. Also on its camera is a Xenon Flash and red-eye reduction, to banish the devil look!! In addition, compared to most other phones with expandable memory, it has a huge internal memory of 160MB. This can be expanded to 4GB!! It also has an FM Radio and a Music Player, both of which are of great quality. As well as this there is a Video Editor, which can be used to turn Videos into Mini-Movies - something I find to be great fun!!

To conclude, I would recommend this to anyone. When I bought it, I disregarded the comments about its size and now I see just how irrelevant they are!! Although it is pricy, it is the best value for money that you will ever find. I have spent my money on very few better things. As I have said, I would recommend this phone to ANYONE, as it is the best that I have ever bought!!

I've been using samsung for past 6 years. Its really superp and shiny and simple. Now i have this G800. Its simply the best for taking pictures and recording videos. Best of of all it has great sound quality. buy a memory card and listen to your favourite tracks. This mobile is simply great! Its much better than LG viewty and Nokia 8GB and Sony Ericsson 5MPs.

i love this phone its better than any phone out there music sound better than the xpress music phone and even better than the blackberry phone which i recently took back cause it was rubbish!!!!!!!

this phone has got to be one of the best phones i've bought yet apart from the chunkyness thats the reason ive given it only 4. but the exterior is gorgeous and has all the features you need. good buy! recommemnded
