I've had this phone now since it came out. But i've got the black one.
I have to say that you won't find a better phone ou there atm.
Its a classic sony erricson with all the little animations and gadgets that you never quite have with a nokia. The phone is very sturdy and not made from any of the plastics that you get with normal phones. 95% Stainless steel wich makes it feel unbreakable. The fact that its almost boarder line paper thin makes it look so modern and slick.
I would reccommend the silver one over the mocha one purely because i think it looks more exspensive.
I will say thought, disite all the amazing things on this phone, it does have a habit of turning its self off and freezing. But you just take the battery out and put it back in and it works fine again.
Annother problem with the camera is that there is no flash. This causes problems with taking pictures. But yet again only a minor problem. And i suppose you cant have it all in a phone so thin.
Also there is no proper games on this phone. Only demos. But once again if you want to play games. Get an xbox!!!!
Looks 10
Battery 7
Entertainment 10
Wow the best phone ever!!!!!!

I bought this phone last week and boy was i blown away. The design is stunning and feels perfect in your hand and the sparkling silver metal case looks fantastic.
The 3.2 megapixel camera takes sublime pictures and video.
The main reason i bought this phone was for the music it came with a 2gb memory card and the sound is the best i have ever heard. Deep bass and rich treble and clarity with the sony headphones supplied. This sounds way better than my ipod which i have now sold. The sound is flawless and the headphones block out all external noise.
The menu is sublime and easy to use and the buttons are easier to hit now too. Above all a fantastic phone i suggest you buy.............. World class.... well done sony.
The Perfect Package

I have had this phone for just over a month and I am still finding things which are interesting and never knew sony ericsson could deliver... I was astounded by the sense me technology... Its fun and accurate which I thought was a nice touch.
The phone is sound and very solid, similar to the w880i in size but much more of a dynamic handset, The major improvement are of course the buttons. They are easy to use and comfortable but with excellent tactical feedback.
I am impressed with the cameras capability to snap a decent shot (light depending) as its not used for this purpose but for those quick snaps you need its not at all bad.
The sound of the phone can be quite tinny but to be honest there are adjustable features to ensure you get the best you can, The walkman has a strong relation to any Ipod nano that are out these days, 2GB memory and great navigation through the tracks feature. The sounds is clear and precise and I enjoy the element of choosing your personal sound levels.
The battery is some what outstanding, I have gone without charging my handset for 4 days and still its half full. I am a constant texter and average about 40 mins worth of calls a day so I am more than pleased with the standard of battery for such a small phone....
NOW... The major part, what a stunning phone... its aluminium brushed casing and its sharp looks make this phone a winner, I like the fact that Sony Ericsson gave the consumer a choice of 3 colours (although the mocha brown is only available on 02). Its a recommendation for me and the new and easy user face will please some... I like the fact they have introduced a answer call and end call button as it makes this a true mobile!!!
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS PHONE!!!
Thanks
Fantastically feature-packed and thin phone

The first thing that hit me about this phone was how small and light it is. Moving from an M600i, the W890i feels practically weightless.
The new button layout and three-key navigation works very well, and the buttons are a nice size for use (and I have quite large fingers). Screen is crisp and bright and the interface is very responsive.
My main reason for getting this phone is the HSDPA functionality (faster 3G data speed) and I had no problems setting this up with my Mac and Nokia N810 to be used as a modem over bluetooth. Transfer speeds are pretty good but I haven't had the opportunity to use it in a wide variety of locations yet.
There were a couple of nice surprises, features-wise. The first was that the included Google maps application has cell-tower location so after I loaded it it pinpointed my location within about 50 meters. The second was the track recognition app, which records a few seconds of music you are listening to (e.g. from the radio) and uploads it to a server which then tells you artist, track and album. This has worked flawlessly in the few times I tested it.
I've got a separate MP3 player, so haven't really tested the Walkman features of this phone but I would expect them to work well.
Overall, this significantly exceeded my expectations and looks to be the best phone I've ever owned.
