Description

The Memory Stick Micro (M2) is designed to meet the growing storage needs of highly compact, multifunctional mobile phones. Exchange data with standard-size Memory Stick PRO compatible products by inserting the M2 into the supplied adapter. M2 is approximately one-quarter the size of Memory Stick PRO Duo media, and only about 1.2 mm thick. Because it's dual-voltage it can be used with both mobile phones (1.8 volts) and Memory Stick PRO compatible products operating at 3.3 volts.

Please note that some older handsets will require a software upgrade to improve card speeds.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Great product, works in PSP!!!

I never write reviews but wanted to clarify some info for people. I can confirm this M2 8GB card works in a PSP using the Pro duo adapter supplied! I am using custom firmware M-33 3.90 Ver 2. There is also no lag when playing games and the PSP recognizes the card straight out of the box (magic gate supported too)

However when transferring data from PC to M2 (with the card in the PSP) this takes ages! maybe if you have a USB M2/pro duo reader this will improve transfer speeds? around 20 mins to transfer 7gb
.In any event even with this slow transfer rate it beats having to carry around multiple sticks.

I wanted to let people know this card does work in a PSP (with firmware greater than 2.80) as there are come conflicting reports when I researched if it would work or not. This is much cheaper than buying a 8gb pro duo (currently £50 on play).

4/5 stars only due to the fact of the slow PC - PSP transfer speed, great other than that! Great service from play.com as usual
