Samsung G600 Orange Pre-Pay / Pay As You Go Mobile Phone (Includes Free £10 Airtime Credit)

I will start on a positive note, this phone is very good, especially on Orange. The camera on this phone is brilliant and is of equal quality to the N95, but not its big brother, the G800. This phone is thin and stylish and is a brilliant everyday use phone, the battery time is decent and the options on the phone include everything you would need, mp3, video, camera, FM radio etc and even a build your own theme system! (This is apparently only available on Orange - beware!) The only main reason this phone gets 4 stars is because of its software, unfortunately, this phone suffers regular screen and software freezing meaning if your sending a text you will loose it! This phone is perfect for someone looking for a thin phone with a reasonable 5mp camera.

Personally, (I did) I'd go for the newer G800 although it is thicker it has a better camera, a very loud (beating most Walkman phones) speaker, better looks! (in my opinion) and a better battery. However, the G600 is a very good phone and does cost less than the G800.

In short, if you can afford it, go for the G800. If you can't, or simply don't wish to this phone has everything you'll need and for the Play.COM price its a steal.

I went to this phone after I tried out the Sony Ericsson K810i(see review) for a week. I'm glad I chose this phone, and heres why.

1. I'm used to the Samsung phone layout.
2. You get 1GB of memory(Micro SD card) with it(Worth £7).
3. You also get a Bluetooth ear piece(Samsung WEP-210 - Worth about £30).
4. Call quality(normal and speakerphone) is lovely.
5. Customizable themes and profiles.
6. Takes pictures and records videos very well.
7. Very slim.
8. Decent Battery life.
9. Looks very stylish.
10. Camera is protected well.
11. Extremely easy to use and everything is very accessible.

What I don't like about this phone:

1. You can have custom Ringtones but for some reason your not allowed to have custom Message tones. You have to pick out of a small selection.
2. The camera (In my opinion) is not really 5megapixel. However, I have emailed Samsung enquiring about my views on the camera and they are standing by their statement of a 5MP camera. Yes is does take great photos but it's nothing compared to the camera on the Sony Ericsson K810i. Pictures are only really good if the lighting is good.

Overall: 5 Stars! I really like the Samsung phones. I can safely give this five stars because the pros outwiegh the cons. Also because I don't take that many pictures with my phone and I have grown not to care about the lack of having customized text tones.

I bought this phone to replace my D900i, it arrived the day after posting and i am so impressed with this phone already, it has a decent camera 5MP and records video and a fanastic quality. I would recommend this phone to anyone that is looking for a new one.

If you do buy this phone and have vista on your pc that you want to connect this to you will have to download the software from the site because the software provided only supports XP and Windows 2000.

This is a brilliant phone just a few downfalls, yet again a fault with Samsung you have to pick out of 5 rubbish, quiet message tones, and i text quicker than my screen can cope with and the rest of the message appears a min after i've stopped typing. These are the only faults other than that what a brilliant phone!!
