Nothing wrong with this device, worked fine with my Acer 5920 Vista laptop. I was familiar with the Bluesoleil software from my main PC anyway, only this is a later version of the software and it worked fine (even better) than that of my main PC.
Not working for me

Although most people seem to be having success with this BT dongle, I'm not.
I have an Acer 5920g using Vista with all the updates installed and I'm trying to pair it with the Nokia N82.
The phone can't find the PC and the PC can't see the phone.
Vista keeps asking for the drivers and when I direct it to the CD it refuses to accept them as drivers.
Some functions have installed but not the complete list.
People here have said to use the BlueSoleil software but you have to pay for it so that's not really an option.
I'm disappointed with this Item but I'll continue to try a get it to work.
Be warned although the package says it works with Vista, it doesn't really.
Excellent, works without any installation in Ubuntu (Linux)

Product description and packaging don't mention Linux support at all, but bought it anyway knowing how good Linux tends to be with Bluetooth - plugged it in and within 3 seconds was ready to move data between my mobile.
Device pokes out a little further than I imagined it would (a few extra mm of the metal connector is visible), but otherwise, it is as awesome as I thought a micro dongle could be. Bought it for the Acer Aspire One on pre-order...
Easy peasy

As novice silver surfer with stacks of photos on my phone, I found this neat and simple to use -especially as I've never downloaded stuff from phone before! I'm using Vista Home Premium and "BlueSoleil" installed smoothly and quickly from disc provided, so did drivers when I attached dongle. Also "help" has clear instructions to follow. Definitely recommend this.
Not for Vista

Could not get this to work on my Vista laptop. Device is seen by OS but Blue Soleil software refuses to run. Worked fine on an XP laptop
SMALL BUT PERFECTLY FORMED

Unobtrusive and easily installed.
This Bluetooth hardware is both practical and reliable.
The installation disc/driver is a 3" disc and because of the speed of my disc drive the disc tends to spin out of its slot. Recommend manually pushing disc drive back home to prevent disc spin out.
Primarily used for transferring my mobile and camera photos to pc. Easily done! Search for devices and go!
Can be used to connect wirelessly to your internet connection - if you have a wireless hub.
Would recommend product.
Great, cheap & useful addition to laptop or desktop

Works perfectly - allows me to Sync my PDA & outlook without using the hotsync cable. Also really useful for transfering photos from my phone. Staying in latop all the time and doesn't get in the way getting it in and out of its bag.
Well worth it for the price!
Who ever said bigger is better?...

This bluetooth device is so much better than the bulky dongle I had and it also flashes a blue led when in use, amazing how they fit it all in. Well worth the cash and fast delivery as usual. Transfers are fast and the software easy to use.
Not perfect for Mac OS X

Bought this to replace the old BT dongle in the iMac. It doesn't stick out as much so doesn't get knocked when plugging in USB drives next to it.
The only problem is with power management. It doesn't seem to support wake from sleep using bluetooth devices. So I have to use the power switch on the back instead of just hitting a key on the keyboard or clicking the mouse. A minor thing which may be put right with a newer driver, but loses it one star for the Mac.
excellent
