  Great

Works really well with both windows 7 and xp. And the software is very good, it made my jabra clipper work perfect . Standard drivers were useless. Another bonus is you can update the software to version 7 for free, if you bought the software without the dongle it would cost 15 squid.

  Works perfectly with Linux

Plug it in and off you go with Linux Fedora 16 64 bit. I very much expect it will work with all modern Linux distributions.

It looks different to the picture - no white text or logos printed on mine, which is good because it looks plain black, barely visible, and business like.

Does what it's described to do.

I brought one of these so I could use a Logitech Dinovo Mini and a Bluetooth headset with Skype. It required a bit of tinkering (mostly as a result of Skype) but nothing that I didn't expect.

If you're running Windows 7 (32/64) put the included software aside and use the default Windows drivers. However, be sure to download the CSR drivers from Windows Update (optional update).

  Not for W7 ?

Recently bought this item and had major problems from the start. I'm running W7 Ultimate 32 bit and altho drivers did install upon installation, nothing worked. I then tried the software that came with it....nothing worked again. Tried it in my XP laptop....works perfect! So anyone with W7 beware!

Work better without the included software

Bought this dongle to connect a couple of Nokia handsets to PC Suite under XP on my home PC. Although PC Suite lists the included software as being supported this software stack is a later version which isn't listed. As such it simply doesn't work with PC Suite. I spent an hour poncing about with this before uninstalling the software. And that is the software's saving grace because it installs XP's bluetooth stack when you uninstall. After a reboot both handsets connected via the dongle without a hitch.

The dongle protrudes from the USB port it is pushed into. So if you expect the thing to be almost flush excepting the black top you will be disappointed. About 5mm of the silver socket is visible.

Nonetheless, it costs 5 pounds, it works, when you don't use the included software, and so I'm happy.

Installed the Toshiba software on XP worked a dream and integrated with Skype. Automatic integration with Skype as an Admin, need to authorise it in Skype is not admin.
Linux
10.04 netbook and laptop, plug it in and it just works!

  Great Product!

Excellent size so you can leave it in one of the USB ports, but easy to lose if you take it out!! Once you find out how to actually transfer files via bluetooth it is great, but takes a while to figure out how to use it and the packaging takes alot of care when opening so you dont cut the disc inside of the packaging which cannot be seen from the outside! But a good product overall and serves its purpose and for the price, its a good buy!

  Great but WARNING ABOUT PACKAGING!

This is a great piece of kit. Only problem is when it arrives it comes in plastic covered packaging that you cant open without scissors. There's not much room for error and when i bought this 1st time i cut through the installation disc. Great product but just be careful when opening as i had to order another one.

  Brilliant love it £5 bargin

I recently purchaced a new HP laptop and found out a week later it had no Bluetooth, this little Bluetooth device is well worth a fiver, the listing doesn't mention anything about it accepting Windows 7 for those who have Windows 7 i assure you it does work.
