I've given this 4 stars as I'm still learning all about the bells and whistles it has - after buying it 3weeks ago (and working a full-time job)... as it's a minefield of gadgets in it.
From the addictiveness of its sister phones (Touch Diamond) Teeter-Totter game, to the windshield wiper blade on the Weather page, and the Touch-Flo operations, and right thru to the many programs and settings, you need a whole wekend+ to delve into its archive of info.
The one thing I would love to see on EVERY mobile, is the ability to assign the ringtones to the music tracks (WMA, etc) in only a few presses of the buttons. But this one you have to do thru the Synch, etc, with the PC, when it should be available to do on the phone itself... and again, done only pressing a few buttons, and not having to delve into many settings and programs to do it?!
The other annoying bit , much like the Omnia I returned to Vodafone, is the fact of them having the GPS map in the advertiseing posters, yet failing to tell us that you have to BUY a GPS prog for it?!? SO DON'T PUT IT ON THE POSTERS THEN!!!
Thw sister Diamond HAS got the GPS on it already... so why it's not on the Touch-Pro I can't figure!? I sometimes wonder what goes on in the minds of the mobile people when they're putting these phone packages together?!
That said, its still a bee-utiful phone, and the keyboard is a welcome help.
The only thing i have to figure out now is the in-call phone key-pad settings... apparently an annoying trait with touch-screen phones; coz, when you make a call and you need the key-pad to be visible on-screen at all times during your call, especially to do the 'press 1', 'press 2', etc, it ain't there, as it disappears to blackness within seconds, and I have to press the power button to bring it out of 'sleep' mode, then press 'keypad' to reactivate the pad so i can press the relevant numbers.... sooooo annoying!!!!
Will let you know next week how it goes... if my brain hasn't melted by then.
Maybe it'll be easier to solve world peace?!? ;-)
wow what a phone, been using it for little over a week now and im very impressed, only reason ive given 4 stars rather then 5 is that since ive put in a 4 gig memory crd full of music which i used to use in my blackberry curve, i get reports that the audio manager is failed! hasnt effected the phone in anyway but im sure if i dont sort it out it will soon.
