Nokia N79 Sim Free / Unlocked Mobile Phone (White)

This is an amazing phone, you will keep wondering how they have everything that an n95 or an n85 has in such a small sized phone. Nokia has put everything it has got in this small foot print phone.

I was really excited about this phone when I read the hype and reviews. However, the WLAN on mine does not work and I've heard the same from other users of some new phones. Some people say updating software does the trick, but surely you should not need to update software on a new phone to utilise all its features? Returned to Nokia with description of fault. Received apparently repaired, but still not working. Think I've just got a faulty one, but having a struggle getting them to repair/replace it. Wish I'd stuck with my E51. Not what I expected and while it looks and feels nice, I can't understand why a phone is released with known WLAN issues which an end user then has to struggle with to put right. If WLAN is important to you avoid this phone and its related issues.

The nokia n79 is simply awesome! It is easily the best mobile phone i have ever used and ive had them all from the iphone to the n95. This phone is basically a nokia n96 shrunk into a much smaller, lighter and more attractive body. The phone is very sleek and stylish and the keypad is very well thought out and works a treat. The software on the phone is also amazing, ive had the phone for about a week now and not once has it lagged or crashed on me! The camera lens quality is much better than the sony ericsson cyber-shot phones and the mp3 function is awesome but it wont replace my ipod just yet. The sat-nav function in the phone is slightly complicated i found but once you get it to work it is fantastic as it gives you turn by turn voice guided navigation just like a stand alone satnav device. The phone aslo has wifi so you can surf the net and although it is know where near as good as having a laptop, it is still very usable! If you are looking at buying a smart phone like the nokia n96 but are put of at that high price tag, then get this phone as i assure you it does everything the n96 does!

Nice and easy phone. Very simple and works fine. That also goes for the wlan, it works great on my connection. Maybe it's not compatible for some routers but works perfect in my house :)
