Samsung i8910 8GB Omnia HD Sim Free Unlocked 8.0 Megapixel Touch Screen Mobile Phone

As an owner of this phone I will give an honest and fair opinion of it,as I expect anyone else should. I do not work for samsung,I am not a sales rep for a phone network or company just to get this straight.Because this phone freakin rocks,there I said it!ive been waitin to say it ever since I got it,which was 2 weeks ago.due to a holiday i had to leave it at home,sad face :-( but when I got back I was so eager to sit down and give it test,the worlds 1st mobile phone with hd video capability,yeh right I thought!but I took a 2 minute clip walking down my local street and was stunned at the definition of colors it displayed.furthermore I hooked it up to my dads 50inch hd tv and was gobsmacked at how good the quality was,granted its not blu-ray quality but were talking about a mobile phone here.The camera is excellent too with a more than adequate range of settings to choose from such as close ups,moving objects,dawn photos etc the list is long. Obviously the main headliner of this phone is its video and photo taking abilities, but do not be fooled into thinking its quality stops there.Web browsing is simple and easy with 3g plus. Youtube lovers can access its full site and upload videos very easily,I havent uploaded a video yet but I am in the process of doing so. It runs on the same OS(operating system) as the Nokia 5800 express music phone, which is an insanely easy system to use. It has been modified a little bit though,I think its the 5th version of it.Nonetheless its pain free,and the touchscreen is a piece of cake to use.I was worried it would annoy me like the iphone did but this is not the case.Writing text messages,adding new contacts is a doddle.A fancy little touch samsung have incorporated is the 3d menu,if your screen is idle you can flick the screen to your left showing you photo contacts.All you do is take a picture of the person you need to call(obviously needs to be done previously!) copy it to this page and you can call them from here.Instead of having to fiddle searching through your contacts,im sure you can do this on other phones but this is a lot simpler. The phones main screen is OLED,which displays any colour with immense sharpness and brightness,its a joy to behold.Could this be the perfect phone?It very nearly is,as close as ive ever seen. One thing lets it down,a major thing too. I love this phone to bits I really do, but the battery life is just not good enough at all. I am not a businessman and I have needed to charge it every night since I first turned it on.If I were a businessman I would need to do all my work next to a plug socket,so that I could keep it charging while I was talking,e-mailing,texting whatever.Im not bothered about the phones size either because it plays all kinds of movie files which is what its for,its a fantastic multimedia device and a great phone.Samsung crammed all this technology inside this device and forgot one VERY important thing,a battery that doesnt need to be on contstant charge. I have still given this brilliant phone a 5 star because I love it,samsung promised a great phone and they delievered. Maybe they should have put two batterys in the box eh??

I returned my Nokia N97 for the Samsung HD and have no regrets at all, it has everything you should ever need at the palm of your hand.
The battery lasted just over 2 full days calling, texting, listening to music and recording videos so the battery is a big improvement. The best things about this phone though is the HD recording and the huge screen at 3.7inches. The touchscreen is easy though sometimes a bit too sensitive but thats a good thing as it`s better than it being not that responsive and you do get used to it. It has a cool game Asphalt 4 which you can play by tilting the phone sideways which is fun for a while. The HD recording gives you mixed results each time as the frame rate can drop sometimes but what you will always get is stunning detail and colours when using HD mode and it also has a powerful flashlight you can use when recording aswell. This phone really does have everything in such a slim package, here are some of the highs - Music equaliser surround/concert/live/pop/bass/& others, HD recording, OLED touchscreen, 8GB memory - and some of the lows - Not so great Audio when video recording - no camera cover -
This is probably the best phone out right now, you could go for the iphone that has just upgraded it`s camera to 3MP!? lol or the N97 5MP which i returned because it`s basically the same package as the classic N95 except it`s touchscreen and has bigger memory, so the samsung HD is your best option until those 12MP cameraphones come out.

As of writing I have got to say that this is probably the best phone in the world right now! It's completely full of features and right now there is no phone that can compete with it in terms of specs. I could talk all day about this phone but there are other reviews out there so I will keep it short and sweet. I bought this with a contract from orange and this is one of the best purchases I have ever made! I wanted a multimedia phone that could do just about everything so that I would not need to carry around multiple devices. Well this phone has well surpassed those requirements. Basically it's a phone, HD Camera, portable video player, mp3 player and FM radio in one which is pretty much what I was looking for but it also has GPS and many other cool features that will keep you busy all day! I have the 8GB version and this phone supports up to 32GB SDHC right now which I plan on using for music and videos as well as other things which makes this phone perfect for my needs.

One last thing I want to talk about is the full screen qwerty keyboard. I admit I had my doubts about touch screen keyboards in fact I was considering the Nokia N97 for its slide out keyboard. Well after using it my fears are COMPLETELY gone it's amazing and so responsive and fast to type on. I had a race with my bro who was using the standard alphanumeric keypad on his phone to see who could type a message faster and WOW I can't believe how fast it is compared to a alphanumeric keypad it makes it look dated it took him three times the time to type the message! I HIGHLY recommend you buy this phone if you want the best you have just found it :)

This is without a doubt the best phone out on the market. You can't find anything close to this phone. The Nokia n97 is not even on the same league and the iphone can't even compete.

I have had this phone for about 3 weeks and it is hands down the best device I have ever owned. The camera quality and video quality is absolutely stunning! I am telling you, if you record a video at 720p, you will be blown away by how clear the picture is.

The Omnia HD has very fast responsiveness and it is extremely easy to use. The Asphalt 4 game in HD is pure class and the media player is good.

For people worried about battery life don't worry because it is fairly good, PROVIDING PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO CHARGE IT PROPERLY!!!.

When you first receive the phone, charge the battery for about 10 hours and then use the Omnia HD until it is drained out. Then recharge the battery for about another 7-8 hours.

DO NOT assume that your battery is fully charged even if stated on the phone. People start sulking about the battery but don't realise they will only have 80-90% of their battery life if they don't charge it properly from the moment they receive the phone.

Anyway enough off the battery. All round this phone is just something you have to witness for yourself. I severely doubt any phone launched this year can compare to this.
Maybe the Sony Ericsson Idou, but who knows. Until then get this phone, no other phone even on play.com can be compared to this little gem.

I havent bought this phone yet but I will in few months..it's 3.7inch, 8megapixel camera, HD video recording and it also has wifi, what more do you wan't? yes iphone could be better at music player but that's what they could only do. Do you really need so much applications? I have samsung pixon and it's amazing, I will give it a few months then buy this phone.
