I have both the SwitchEasy Rebel Serpent (white one - not available on Play unfortunately) AND the SwitchEast Colour (black one - as pictured) and I would highly recommend both.
The rebel offers a cooler look with a mix of a stern rubber case and hard plastic spine. Protecting the entire back and sides of the phone.
The colour on the other hand offers rubber protection around the back, sides, the bottom front of the screen and a bit around the screen edge. So you get slightly more coverage on your phone.
Both phones cover the volume buttons and the sleep button, and come with a plug for the charger section.
The Colour comes with a plug for the headphone socket. Although these extra loose pieces will likely be lost!
Both hide the crome edges of the screen perfectly though, so you wont see that at all.
But it all depends what you want....
The Rebel Serpent and normal Rebel cases look cooler and are more for show IMO. While the Colour offers a more descreet look.
If like me, you dont always want the world seeing that you blatenly have an iphone, just in case you get mugged, you might want to consider a black "colour" as its hides it pretty well in your hand.
If on the other hand you want something more blatent and jazzy and to stand out, try a SwitchEasy Rebel case as it has a real attitude about it with the use of its plastic spine (and the serpent ones are just that extra bit cooler).
The only negatives I have about the colour compared to the Rebel, is that the colour is a bit more loose around the screen and can be pulled back if you try; while the Rebel is VERY, VERY tight fitting and holds the edges down around the screen.
The Colour is also a lot more tactile to the feel, and picks up Lint and can feel like its being obstructed when entering and leaving your pocket.
The Rebel on the other hand, seems to use a harder rubber (along side the hard Plastic) which feels a bit more protective around the back and sides and DOESNT pick up lint at all. It also slides in and out of your pocket with ease.
But if you want something with better grip in your hand and pocket, get the Colour. Infact get BOTH!!!!!
But I would recommend both cases without a doubt.
You can obviously get brighter, more bold colours in the "colour" case. But I chose black to be descreet, while having my white Rebel serpent to be obvious.
I now have a choice of both and can very easily slip in between the two cases.
Maybe give the colour a try first and then move onto a rebel.
Its just a shame I cant see the Rebel serpents on Play.com as they add that extra coolness to the normal Rebel.
Read iLounge and you can see this is one of the (if not the best) best cases around.
