Quite simply the best album ever produced!

I bought this when I was 14...eh 30 years ago...! and I still listen to it today...all the songs are brilliant and this album easily outshines Out of the Blue - and this was also a brilliant album...!

If you are an ELO fan then this is a must have!

Most people who remember ELO do so as a result of the superlative Out of The Blue. This though is the album that really started to cement Jeff Lynne's gifts as a writer and producer and, in all honesty, is easily the equal of its more illustrious brother.

Looking down the track list you realise that there isn't a single weak track on there; every song (with the exception of the Above The Clouds interlude, which though beautiful isn't quite long enough) could have been a Top 10 single. Consider that songs as strong as Livin' Thing and So Fine didn't even make the cut to be released in the UK. Nor did Do Ya, a reworking of a track Lynne wrote for the Move, though it was released in the US.

All this proves the level of quality at work. It really is a lost gem, often overlooked by those citing great 70's albums.
