  Think of it this way.....

| | See all Amjac17's reviews (55)

Think of it like this, many LP fans are saying that in this album they have lost their way and become emo/pop/whatever.... Because of this LP have a bigger fanbase because they can do different types of music. I love the older LP songs such as Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja, Wake Up, Last Train, Burn burn etc. but i also now love songs on this album such as rooftops, everyday combat and especially broken hearts and torn up letters.....as that song is brilliant in every way possible. From this album you will see some heavy parts, screaming, and then emo lyrics, catchy chorus'. So yes, it is very mixed. I really like this album but i can understand why fans of the older material of LP wont like this, i am welcoming to all aspects of rock and others may not be. Don't read reveiws saying that this is amazing and straight away buy this and don't be put off by reveiws of people who don't like this album, the safest thing to do is listen to as many songs as you can for yourself. For me it is 5/5. Are they any good live?

  80's Influenced

As a third album, I think Liberation is brilliant. It incorporates everything they've been influenced by with their sound. People who say it's not as good as Start Something just need to open their minds a bit more; if they did Start Something over again, you'd complain they hadn't done anything new.

The production is great, although I think the drums would've benefited from being heavier.

The tracks are amazing live too

I see a load of reviews on different music sites saying how much this album sucks and their last two are so much better, well they are bloody wrong!
This album is bloody amazing (:

This is the best Lostprophets album to date. It has a range of styles with tracks that get you singing along every time. My favourite tracks are... well pretty much the whole CD!

  The best lostprophets album

This is an improvement on start something as it got much better songs with quite a good range of types of song. They stop shouting as much and taken a dip into emo a bit more with 4am forever being quite depressing. Great album, buy it!

  Lost prophets for emo's!!!

Doesnt matter if you prefer the old Lost prophets or the new the music they make is still great!!! besides some of the songs are still a bit shouty which is great but when something like'Rooftops' comes along this album is definetly a must have!! especialy if you like the deppressing tip of music

I would gladly listen to any song on this album, its not as loud and shouty as "start something" but still recommend both albums, a must buy for me

  WHAT HAPPENED!!???

Lost prophets started off as a fast and original nu-metal band that took influences from slipknot, korn, limp bizkit...etc, the music was exciting and up-beat......Now soon after the emo uprising (thats right, rrrright after mcr, used etc etc. came out!) they've suddernly started writing depressing/crap songs (rooftops, 4amforever...blah blah blah) which are VERY repetative and boring. Oh and whats with the suddern COMPLETE change in fashion sense (fringes, drainpipes, everything black..etc etc) I know fashion has nothing to do with music but this does prove that they sold out, conformed with fashion and trends and completely changed everything thus forgetting their old fans leaving us all confused and dissepointed!

if your an old school prophets fan, dont buy this!!
