Shayne Ward is returning with a bang! After listening exclusively to five new tracks on the album Shayne has managed to suprise me.
1 Gotta be somebody- Nickelback cover or is it? Shayne has completely put HIS stamp on this fantastic song, its recieved some criticism from some Nickelback fans however Shayne should get recognition on his ability to know who he is as an artist to transform such a song into his own. Simon Cowells idea, and a masterpeice of art by Shayne himself.
2- Obsession- title track from the album, heavily influenced by Prince' purple rain, shayne described this as a song that sounds like a classic! and he is right. Fantastic beat and fantastic vocals by shayne makes this a favourite Shayne says this is not from experience and that we can decide whether or not it is healthy! haha
3-Must be a reason- I cant help it.... this is my favourite and should be the second single as it will go down a treat in the clubs. Shayne hooks up with JPearl and together they make an old dance track into a revamped hit! If this get the airplay it will be massive! Shaynes vocals have a little JT twist on this song.
4- Close to Close- A beautiful song describing the "typical woman" as shayne said himself. about being so close to falling in love that you are close to close. A nice easy listening chilled song to relax to after the previous dance hit!
5- Someone like you- Has an enrique Iglesias feel great pop song!
6&7- Waiting in the wings & Crash- Are beautiful love songs that may need the tissues
and thats all i can tell you for now, apart from if this album gets the publicity there will be no stopping it. ITs down to the promotion team and simon cowell because to me at least so far there is not one song that i could say a negative word about, although i would like to see some more written songs on this album by shayne.
