the king of rap really is back this time

This album is in Eminem's top 3 in my opinion, 3rd behind Marshall Mathers LP and Slim Shady LP. Every song has meaning and sharp lyrics and the accents that "were run into the ground" are gone.

I think there is a maturity about Eminem on this album, his recognition of the failures of Encore and Relapse speak volumes, and the apologies to the fans for those pieces of work make the real fans know what he means. There is also some very different Eminem songs on the albums with collaborations with the likes of Pink and Rianna dont sound appealing on paper but are delivered expertly. The pure whit of 25 to life is so clever, the whole song you think he is rapping about a woman and then the twist at the end where he is talking about hip hop, pure genius.

The use of classic songs such used in "No Love" and "Going through Changes" just work brilliantly. Then he finally releases a song in honour of Proof which shows how much he has moved on and "Never Over" is the perfect dedication to his best friend and right hand man. Tracks like "WTP" are good for those who like an upbeat song and the romantics might like "Space Bound" and "Love the way you lie" which again are expertly delivered.

There literally is not one bad track and no skits so its songs all the way through, no corny voices and Eminem back to the old style of which was last seen mainly on The Eminem Show. I love this album and its a listen not just for the hip hop fans but for music fans, I genuinely believe there is a little something for everyone on this album. Welcome back Mr Mathers.

 HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!!

worst eminem album in my honest opinion. I am a huge eminem fan and have been since he blew up, i was hoping for too much with recovery, i feel let down as a fan. Too much sining, and Rhianna? Pink? are you having a laugh!!! some good songs but for eminem, absolutely terrible! best tracks: Cold Wind Blows, Almost Famous, On Fire. Worst tracks: 25 to life, Seduction, Space Bound. Eminem has gone mainstream. Huge Dissapointment!!!

This has to be the most different, but still great, Eminem album I have ever heard. I had been waiting ages for this album and when the 21st June came, I was very happy indeed.

My most favourite tracks from Recovery are as follows:
1. Cold Wind Blows (a classic style Eminem song which is a great starter for the album)
4. Won't Back Down (featuring Pink) a nice hard rap rock song.
6. Going Through Changes (with samples from the Ozzy Osbourne song, Changes)
7. Not Afraid (amazing song which also has an amazing video)
9. No Love (featuring Lil Wayne) what a song, Eminem's verse is insane, this is the standout track for me.
12. 25 to Life (with acoustic guitars and singing)
15. Love the Way You Lie (featuring the beautiful Rihanna, a love song with the video coming soon)

There are also two other excellent bonus songs which are worth a listen and are also available for purchase, these are:

- Ridaz
- Session One (featuring newly signed Shady Records hip hop supergroup, Slaughterhouse)

Production on the album does not disappoint either, even though Dr. Dre only coughed up one song for the album. Production comes from:
- Just Blaze
- DJ Khalil
- Mr. Porter (Eminem's lifelong pal from D12)
- Supa Dups
- Emile (who has also worked with Obie Trice several times)
- Boi-1da (known to many as Canadian rapper Drake's producer)
- Jim Jonsin (he's done several smashes for The Game, Pitbull, etc)
- Script Shepherd
- Alex da Kid (who works with B.o.B. quite alot)
- Havoc (one half of New York rap duo, Mobb Deep)
- Dr. Dre (who is on hand once again to oversee the album as executive producer)
- And of course, Eminem himself (who supplies additional co-production for the album)

Overall, this album is an absolute delight to listen to and, although quite a different sound for Em, is in fact one of his best, and very emotionally driven in some places, with a nice light dusting of humour to balance it all out, with deep, meaningful lyrics and rhymes which will make you want to listen to it time after time. What can I say, the result is pure magic.

Eminem is a true talent who has never disappointed me with his work and I don't think he ever will.

Also, a huge shout out to Play.com for not only getting the album delivered on time, but for also being the greatest online retailer of all time.

So, get your copy of Recovery from Play.com now, you won't regret it. Long live Eminem!

For this genre of music, this is one of the best albums you will ever hear! Not since the Marshall Mathers LP has eminem actually believed in his lyrics, none of that silly voice or filler tracks, this is from start to finish a, and im going to say it, "Masterpiece".

 He's back! :)

i was counting the days down waiting for the release of this album. as the title says, "he's back". i am thoroughly impressed with this album, one of my favorites from Eminem. i don't skip through any of the songs on this album, that's just how good it is! i recommend this to any Eminem fan, and even people who don't really like him. the lyrics are simply amazing, so much meaning in his songs. i wasn't disappointed, and i don't think you will be if you are thinking of getting this. well worth it!
