It was by chance that I came across this band, I heard a song from their previous album on a free CD I received from some high street chain. The song was called 'Dreams', and it was unlike anything I had ever heard. Unfortunately I couldn't find the album in any shops. Several months later I found this, the second album from the band, in a shop and snapped it up. That was the best decision I ever made.

TV On The Radio are simply the most original band I have ever heard. Its very hard to liken them to any other groups, although they do have similarities with fellow New York bands 'Liars' and 'Yeah Yeah Yeahs' (incidentally, TVOTR guitarist Dave Sitek produced Yeah Yeah Yeahs first album).

There is not a bad song on this record, and each one is wholly unique in itself. There is a heavy focus on the vocals, led by the amazing Tunde Adebimpe, although most of the band joins in at some point on the album - along with fan David Bowie who makes a guest appearance on the song… more »

The drums take lead on the song 'Playhouses', one of my personal favourites. The stand-out track from the album has to be 'Wolf Like Me' - a dark, fast paced number about the unlikely subject of Werewolves.

Everything about this band is amazing. The vocals, the lyrics, the melodies, the harmonies, the drums, the guitars, the songs structures - they are truly talented. This is modern alternative music at its very best.
