Top 100 Music Reviewer

Currently ony available on import, this is a fantastic album that contains the hit of the summer in 'Release Me'. With it's urgent, nagging piano riff, melancholy lyrics and huge bassline, 'Release Me' is a classic pop moment and is the standout moment on this collection. Yet there are a number of other tracks that run it very close. Next single 'On & On' has a slightly harder-edged Euro dance sound but again has a killer chorus and great vocals. 'Love, Love, Love' is fantastic - a glitterball of a song that starts all 'cabaret style' and then explodes into joyous disco campness. Elsewhere, there is the 'How Will I know'-ish 80s styling of 'Look at Me Now' and the Latin pop influenced 'Don't Pull Your Love Out'. It's everything that you hope a pop album will be - melodic, uplifting and instantly catchy. Additionally, the album artwork is beautiful.

 Best new artist in years!

We keep hearing comparisons between Agnes and Leona Lewis. Agnes came first but only now launched elsewhere other than Sweden. Thankfully ditching her Pop Idol chains and the largely insipid ,conveyor-belt lazy, bland material that goes with it, Agnes went to an indie label and teamed up with a top writer in Andreas Johnson and recorded the best pop album in years (Leona take note and do the same with your talent).

If you like the excellent single Release Me, you're gonna love the album. Second single On And On is fantastic - slightly more industrial and heavy but still very poppy and incredibly crafted and catchy and the album brims with potential singles - How Do You Know, Love Love Love and the glorious Look At Me Now to name only a few. Sometimes I Forget is an understated ballad that grows and grows.

The album is a perfect blend of melodious pop and uplifting dance-tinged songs with the occasional 80s leaning.

Highly recommended - be among the first to hear her before she becomes a major global star!

 Excellent Breakthrough Album

Release Me currently being played off the airwaves is just a sample of the great tracks to be found on this album. While Release Me has a very dance edge the remainder of the album sits very much in europop which actually makes a refreshing change from the overuse of drum tracks and synths.

She's been compared to Leona Lewis due to her roots and when you catch her videos she actually looks like Leona too however I think this is an unfair comparrison as I dont think Leona will ever move into the dance arena.

Definately a summer album to blast out and unlike a lot of artist who have one or two hits and flog an average album on the back of them there is no such fear here as you will find that the weakest tracks on here are better than most of the dross in the charts currently
