After Warnings/Promises and Make Another World, I was afraid one of my favourite bands were on the slide to obscurity. Bland albums were not what this band did. 100 Broken Windows sits proudly in my top 5 albums. Post Electric Blues has taken a bit of everything that this band can offer. Nice melodic songs like Take Me Back to the Island, great guitars in Younger than America and the soft folky The Night Will Bring You Back to Life - these are what this band does best. Welcome back Idlewild! About time that you've gone Post Electric!

After the disappointing sales and the mixed reviews on their last album, Idlewild are back with an album echoeing The Remote Part. I havent listened to the whola album in full but I managed to hear few tracks and let me tell you that City Hall is the best song they have done since American English

 A great self release!!

Well Idlewild have done it again, another quaility album that just gets better with each listen. With some poppy tracks like " Readers and Writters" and more folk tracks like "Bring you back to life" theres abit for everyone. Fans of there early work may be slightly dispointed, but they will have to face facts Idlewild have moved on from that "thrashy Punk" sound they once had. Also try "Roddy Woomble - my secret is my silence" An amazing solo album from Idlewilds' front man.
