 Preaching to be converted

The first four songs alone are worth the price of admission if you do not own a Manic Street Preachers album. I'm not a great fan of greatest hits collections actually - prefer to get the music in the original context of the released albums - but you can't argue with class. Songs like A Design For Life and La Tristesse Durera are not only great catchy rock songs but the modern poetry - lyrics to make you think. So I guess these albums do their job if they are not just preaching to the converted. When the history of the last two decades of music is recorded, this collection is a reminder that this oft-maligned band cannot be ignored.
