 The Best Killers Album

| | See all Vera18's reviews (3)

The Killers are my favourite band of all time. This is the best Killers album. Every song is great, I can't pick a favourite. I love the enterlude and exitlude on the album. The key songs would have to be When You Were Young, Read My Mind,Bones, My List and For Reasons Unknown.

 AMAZING!!!

Improving on the impressive Hot Fuzz & just before the notoriously difficult third album the Killers have produced an excellent record full of quality tunes.

After the success of thier debut Hot Fuss and how many people loved and still love that album, this was one of the most anticipated albums for along time, and The Killers delivered!

We all know "When You Were Young" and "Read My Mind" are top top Killers tracks off this album, other stand-out tracks are, "Bones", "For Reasons Unknown", "Bling", "This River is Wild". This is The Killers best work todate, they have used less synth on this album than they did on Hott Fuss, but the quality of synth is far better and more inspirerd on this album, saying that - expect more guitar solo's on this album than the synth solo's on Hot Fuss.

Sam's Town is on-par with Hot Fuss - Hot Fuss is more user friendly but Sam's Town is true music,

When Brandon Flowers said "this will be one album people would remember in 20 years time" not "this will be one of the best albums in the last 20 years" he wasn't wrong, I for one will remember this album in 20 years, truely great.

What is more important is The Killers are a brilliant band, not in the "greats" catagory yet, but you've seen what they are capable of since 2004, they have big big songs like Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me, When You Were Young, Read My Mind, Human, amongst others, sooner or later The Killers are going to do something massive, and you need this CD in your collection to own that sweet peice of magic!

 WOW!

I have always loved anything The Killers have produced, but Sams Town is by far their best ever album. Every single track is tantalising and will have you clicking repeat over and over again. The album is introduced and ended by two small songs that will leave you wanting more...This coupled with an excellent price on play.com? A must have!!!

 IMMMENSE!

This album is completely different to their debut 'Hot Fuss', but definitely not any worse nor better.
Each song is very well produced and written and has given The Killers their distinctive sound. The album has a very American feel to it, like the band thought of home when writing the songs.
Top songs:
'For Reasons Unknown' - brilliant guitar and bass and very catchy.
'Read My Mind' - very beautiful and a great sing-along.
'Bling (Confessions Of A King)' - some of the best lyrics The Killers have come up with to date. Very spiritual and religious too.

The album includes a whole spectrum of different sounds and ideas. If you liked 'Hot Fuss', you'll like 'Sam's Town' too.

Great, Different, Musically More Talented Than There First

I have hot fuzz, and day and age but i would say this is their best work. I just love it all the way through, the killers are 1 of the few bands who do this. It really is epic
