 AMAZING POP ALBUM!

Its been 2 years now since release and i cant believe that this album is still with me. Usually you get bored of an album after a while but i must admit this one is the first iv never tired of! Theres everything from cool electro pop (in my arms, like a drug, and especially the amazing speakerphone) to pure pop of old kylie in "wow"... Then some stunning ballads so very personal to kylie "cosmic" and the sublime "no more rain"- one of her very best songs!.. The amazing pop masterpiece that is "the one" which was cruelly only physically released with a late video as the 4th single in the uk... This is a pop album way above the rest. Its sold well with almost half a million sales in the uk and over a million worldwide... But it deserved way better in my opinion as the very best kylie album! Buy it!

 It's all about 'The One'

There's so much to love about this album - from the pure uplifting pop of 'No More Rain' to the electro dance of 'In My Arms', it's everything that you'd hope from Kylie. It's bizarre that the album's huge standout track ' 'The One' was given such a poor promotional push (no physical release, dull remix, video released weeks too late for tv exposure). It's an amazing, anthemic pop song in which the Freemasons once again locate the exact spot where joy and heartache intersect. Throw in the glam-pop of '2 Hearts', the PWL-style joy of 'Wow' and the modern r'n'b of 'All I See' and it's easily the best collection of Kylie's career so far. Yes, the album sleeve is hideous and the font used makes the credits unreadable. Granted 'Nu-di-ty' is a dire sub-Britney mess. But taken as a whole it's that rarest of things - a credible, shimmering, fun piece of pop that sustains the course of an album.

 ...I Want More...

This seems to be underated, everyone who I have played it too does have an initial impression, its a shame the lyrics are not included on the sleeve. The songs though have also seen a new breath of life on the X2008 live dvd which also may show some songs to there true potential...

Track List - The Great!

2 Hearts
Like A Drug
In My Arms
Speakerphone
The One
No More Rain
Stars
Wow

The Good

Sensitized - The louder the better for this track
Heart Beat Rock - I love the tour version better
All I See - This worked better for me as a stripped bare song as seen on kylie.com
Nu-di-ty
Cosmic

The new remixes of the singles are really worth checking out - A four time Grammy nominee and once a winner the Kylie remixes set the world on fire.

Kylie's Finest Album (With A Bit Of Tweeking)!!

Kylie's X is without doubt her best album to date. It has literally been on my car's cd player for almost a year now. I have made my own version of it though adding in some amazing B-sides (Cherry Bomb, Carried Away, Do It Again), deleting the complete mistake that is Nu-di-ty, and replacing the album version of 2 Hearts with the far superior Freemason's Dirty Hands Remix! All this resulting in the perfect pop album. Wow, The One and In My Arms are 3 of my favourite Kylie singles of all time and worth buying the CD for alone. All in all X is a fantastic CD, with some amazing album tracks that could have been hits singles (Like A Drug, Speakerphone, No More Rain) and I urge anyone who hasn't got a copy to buy one now! And while you're at it buy a copy for your mates this Christmas!!

Kylie is hardly on my typical playlist. But my sister went to see her after buying this album, and despite the electronic sound I found it fun to sing along to. Her older songs are probably better, but these ones are not generally bad.

 AMAZING!
