Just as good as Breakaway in its own right!

While this album is markedly different to her album Breakaway the songs are real growers and just as catchy! I was really surprised when I first listened to this album as it was sooooo different but after a couple of listens I loved all the songs on the album and still do. I think she has an amazing voice and this album flaunts it to the max!
This album shows a maturer side and is yes a little darker in that sense but it still is a really good fun album to listen too. I think it is great.

 Brilliant album by KC!

Kelly Clarkson in my opinion is the best female artist around. I say this for a number of reasons: Firstly she has an incredible voice; secondly, she expresses such emotion and feeling when singing and performing; thirdly, she has written some brilliant songs with heartfelt lyrics. There are many more reasons but I'll leave it at three for now!

Over the years she has gotten better and better. "Thankful" was a great debut album with nice songs, some of which had a more soulful sound. "Breakaway" was a brilliant album with a number of catchy songs and the album showed off Kelly's Rockstar side.

Finally, "My December" is a fantastic album as Kelly was able to write and co-write all the songs which are basically based on her life and story over the last few years. Since this album was very personal to her, she had the chance to explore different singing techniques and all the songs have a different vibe. The songs range from rock to alternative to slow ones and Kelly really got to show her versatility on here; it's outstanding!

In my opinion, the best tracks on this album are: "Never Again", "One Minute", "Hole", "Sober", "Judas", "Haunted", "Be Still", "Maybe", "Yeah", "Can I Have A Kiss" and "Chivas." So for 11 out of 14 (including hidden track) to be my favourite songs, is a great result.

I hope Kelly Clarkson continues to write songs, release albums and tour for years on end, because she really is an incredibly talented artist (I think she's the best). Rock on KC!

The best thing you wll ever spend money on.

This album is by far her best. 'Thankful' was good, as she was just finding her feet, but had to bow to record company demand.... 'Breakaway' was breathtakingly amazing, producing such belters as SUBG and BTHE... Buy 'My December' is her greatest work to date. The bosses don't know what they are talking about... they should have let her write her own songs sooner. Anyone that listens to 'maybe' and doesn't feel like shedding a tear is not human. I love this album.

 AMAZING!!

OK, as a huge kelly clarkson fan i was nervouse about this album what with all the controversy around it. But i was not dissapointed! Every song tells a different story that everybody can relate to. The bitterness of "Never Again" to the sadness of "Irvine" each track has something different to offer. My Favourite songs on the album are "Never Again, One Minute, Hole, Sober, Haunted, Maybe, How I Feel, Chivas (Hidden Track)" How I Feel should be made a single, it is so catchy and funny!! I cant wait to c kelly on tour in manchester in exsactly 56 DAYS!!!! Great album!!!

 Simply Amazing!

This is a truly great album, despite some of the bad press it received. Every track tells a tale and takes you on a journey through Kelly's amazing and heartfelt emotional vocals. The album contains some beautiful slow songs such as 'Sober', 'Maybe' and 'Be Still', some rockier anthems; 'Hole' and 'Haunted' as well as Kelly's classic 'kiss-off' songs like 'How I Feel', 'Don't Waste Your Time' and the single 'Never Again'.

 Great

Bought this album because I liked the Never Again single and have not stopped playing it. I especially like "Sober", an excellent track that has me reaching for the repeat button.

Excellent album - really sang from the heart from the talented Miss Clarkson. I think the last album was better but this is by no means bad. Well done Kell!

 An Honest Album

Ok this CD is not another Breakaway and neither should it be, if all artists rehashed the same old cr@p over and over again the music industry would be in big trouble..

The problem is everything Kelly Clarkson does will be compared to "that album" because that is what happens when you release a stunner so early on in your career (Oasis constantly having all their work compared with Definitely Maybe) Artists move on and try new things, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

ok so My December, on the 1st few listens I wasnt overly impressed, the songs dont jump out and grab you as they did on breakaway but lyrically these songs are fantastic even if slightly depressing, yes these songs are written about Kellys experiences of life and love but that gives the album a very honest quality but it also shows us that money and fame doesnt buy you happiness.

These are some strong songs on My December that do grab your attention very early on and most of the other songs slowly grow on you.. this is an album where it pays to listen and try to understand the lyrics.. This is not another Breakaway, its not as good as Breakaway but its still a good first attempt of Kelly writing or co-writing all the songs on her album.
