For me, this album lacked a bit of fluid creativity deftones have oozed on previous albums.there are some good songs on this album and although i do enjoy it, I don't think it lives up to the deftones heavyweight reputation.
Maybe more accessible album, there seems to be less of the shouty vocals with singer chino concentrating more on the atmosphreric style, apart from a couple of tracks including "Rats! Rats! Rats!"
Try it.
Really enjoyed this album

There's some great tracks on this album, and some not so great. Fortunately the great ones make up for disappinting tracks "Pink Cellphone", "Rats! Rats! Rats!" which is just too noisy for me, and "u,u,d,d,l,r,l,r,a,b,select, start" which sounds like it belongs on a Team Sleep album rather than Deftones. Critiscisms aside, the rest of the album is stunning and Chino sounds at his best on "Hole In The Earth", "Kimdracula", "Combat" and "Cherry Waves". The album is a worthy addition to the Deftones catalogue, can't wait to see what they do next!!
