Loved the single, 'Man I Hate Your Band' and 'European Lover' is a good tune but the rest are a bit so-so. Haven't seen them live but the lead singer's voice sounds a bit weak and some of the lyrics are poor ('Little Big Man').
Not quite in the same league as Arctic Monkeys, Rev and The Makers and (previously) Milburn.
Awesome

Best Album I own. They don't do bad tracks and are even better live. Get the album, but go and see them.
Really really good

I leant this off my girlfriend and wasn't sure what to expect but its really good. Especially Sexy in Latin which is awsome. They sound a little like Arctic Monkeys in some respects but its definitely worth gettin.
Me and my girlfriend have split up now but not because of this album

Amazing album. Saw them at the Plug in Sheffield in augast an a really good live band, propa buzzing atmosphere. Good Dabute album, "don't change your sound like The Artic Monkeys & Milburn, or you'll just sound as crap as there second albums!" Keep it up lads!
Are these just another steel city band?

Oh no! not another Sheffield band is what i first thought, but how wrong could I be?
This is a fantastic debut album from LMT, with catchy songs that you can't help singing along to. Yes it may be true that they not as BIG as those other lads from the steel city but personally i prefer Little Man Tate.
Give it a chance, they more than fill the arctic monkeys boots.
Cracking Debut Album

Little Man Tate are from the monkeys neck of the woods but are not in the same fan base league. 'About What You Know' gives you tales of relationships, parties and skinhead transvestites straight up, these guys don't mince their words.
Album opener 'Man I Hate Your Band' chats to about bands with too much force behind them and these guys not being too keeon on 'em.
'European Lover' is about just that a girl who has been travelling away from her perhaps ex fella. Another cathchy one.
'Sexy In Latin' one of the singles off the album tells a tale of child hood friends who turned into something more. Lyrically it'll make you smile which is true of all the tracks on the album including the latest single 'This Must Be Love'. All of LMTs tracks are relateable catchy and witty without being pretentious.
Well worth the £9 you pay for it. If you like you guitars a bit puncher and your lyrics basic but still witty LMT are for you. A standout band of the year with a support spot with The View under their belts aswell as their own smaller tours.
