I loved the Ascendancy album and ordered The Crusade from the US so I could get it sooner.... Soo disapointed there isn't really a great standout track! It's all gone more mainstream and they seem to have lost some of shouting which was kinda what they did. I'm gonna wait and see a few reviews before I even think of getting Ember To Inferno (the new album).
I quite enjoyed this one!!

Having just got into Trivium, I had just bought Ember to Inferno and Ascendency. I thought I may as well give this one a go too.
First thing I thought was "Have they borrowed James Hetfield from Metallica?". I personally don't think it a bad thing for bands to move in a different direction and like the new sound of the album!
In a simalar vein to Avenged Sevenfold, the new sound suits the band rather than destroys it like some people think.
As for the songs, I believe the highest point is Entrance of the Conflagration. The tightness of the riffs with the drums and the chorul voice that goes over the top is very epic and sounds quite cool!
Personally, I think this album deserves a listen from any metal/rock fans who are not stuck in the "I hate new albums" mind set!
Why does everyone have a problem with it.I think its awesome
