Don`t expect an easy listen with this album. It`s possibly one of the best albums ever made - but you probably won`t enjoy it straight away. Joanne Newsome has an amazingly beautiful , childlike , painful and entrancing voice all in one !! The songs are long , but beautifully constructed , and the more you listen the more you`ll hear each time . Poetic , sublime - it seeps into your soul - and will not let go...You need to be willing to go on a long journey with this album. It will be well worth it - as it`s one of the most beautiful albums ever made. She`s totally unique - and I know the more you listen to this album the richer the experience will be - and I`m in for the long long listen. If you have not heard of Joanna Newsome before and want an album really unlike anything else out there -and are ready for a challenge - then you won`t be dissapointed.This album is for life not just now.
