A God striding the earth watching where his feet fall in case he crushes mere mortal songsmiths. 'Corner' is from the slightly hippy era but there's nothing fey about it. Red Shift is edgier than a thorn in the tearduct. The 2 ballads with Hammill unaccompanied at piano rock harder than yon Leon Kings ever will, and A Louse Is Not A Home is the 70s most astounding piece of music, Wombles notwithstanding. An album the 6 star rating was invented for.
