a totally different sound to other orb albums, this very much reflects it's german label kompact. after about twenty listens it's still growing on me and it's verging on four stars but it was a definate dissapointment at first. it appears to be a very thomas fehlmann album with less of the atmospheric touches of old. it's quite minimalist but is often beautiful and surprising. considering the next album after this is the fabulous dream album its a testament to the ever changing nature of the orb and the overall love of and joy in making music without formula that shines through. i'd still buy it last though.
